We just don't do we.
I thought we had a self proclaimed singing section?
Easy to sing when we're winning. Seemingly too much bother when we aren't. Long way to go yet...maybe today was an off day on and off the pitch...

Yeah but the flagwavers did more than Wagner to get us promoted, didn’t they?

It's true .. our fans disappear when we play poor . . The whole ground that is though. Can't blame a particular section

Nice touch to boo Holmes onto the pitch and clap Lolley off the pitch. Some absolute freaks in that ground honestly

Long way to go yet...maybe today was an off day on and off the pitch... Whilst I understand the sentiment of the players needing to give the fans something to cheer about, the atmosphere today was really poor. I tried to get it going near me, but to no avail. Problem is, plenty near me thought we could just turn up and the game is won. That’s not how football works.

But no, town fans I heard behind me booing Holmes on (again) and defo some clapping Lolley off it. Weirdos

Weirdos Definitely some clapped Lolley off, dont know about booing Holmes on, as it happens Holmes played well when he came on, gave us a bit of spark but ultimately to no avail, our best player the time he was on the pitch.

Ironic that Holmes was the only player in blue and white prepared to take a risk and play through the lines .. Town fans are the fucking pits sometimes

As soon as Holmes takes a wrong step the blood pressure merchants lose their shit

Its difficult to get behind a team just passing it about on the half way line, and turning back towards your own goal at every opportunity. The crowd need a bit of momentum from the pitch as well.

Suffice to say you sit in front of some idiots then…thankfully most of the Town fans didn’t have that reaction.

Carlos doesn't help by shouting and waving his arms about not surprised that sometimes players don't seem to know what he wants.

Do they? The south stand was aiming to replicate ultra movements in Europe when it first emerged, if I’m not mistaken? Their crowds back the team throughout the game. If the fans had upped the noise it could have pushed the players on more instead of constant whines when we misplace passes. I get the last few years have been wank but this season has certainly started off well.

Long way to go yet...maybe today was an off day on and off the pitch... Here we go, having a pop at the fans again. You seem to have an agenda with the South Stand for some strange reason. Very odd. I presume you were singing for start to finish and didn't once get a little despondent when the ball went sideways across the pitch for 50th time? Almost impossible to get any sort of atmosphere going when there is absolutely nothing to excite the crowd, no energy, very little creativity, slow laboured passing going nowhere sucks the life out of the game and has a massive knock on effect. Yes there is an argument for the fans to be loud and get the team going, but there has to be a bit of carrot and strong from the players out on the pitch to ignite it in the first instance.

However changing the mentality of a traditional English fan base to that of a more European nature takes a lot, lot longer than the 5 years the CL ha seen running (some of which were in a different stand, and one full season missed due to COVID too) It wasn't great today, not great by a long shot, but fans having a pop at other fans who are TRYING to make things better isn't needed, or helpful in anyway.

Keep going lads and take no notice of the knockers I'm at north end of Kilner and I realise there are a few kids and women up there. If I shout abuse at the linesman people look round with disapproving looks.

I think it boils down to performances and our style of play
Performances have been worse than results, particularly at home - We were superb against Reading. Otherwise our home league performances have been poor
Preston at home - we won but didn’t have a shot on target. Fulham. Today. 3 out of 4 poor for different reasons
The fans need to see some urgency on the pitch - positivity, aggression, passion and intensity.
The biggest noise came after O’Brien did just that with the sliding tackle near the Kilner Bank
Side note. I don’t think there were many clappers being given out today? Like it it not they make a difference!

Fail to see the issue with clapping Lolley - he was the best player on the pitch by a mile
I do see an issue with booing Holmes although didn’t hear it. Holmes did well today, one of few that did. The problem with him is that’s his good minutes for the next month done - but still doesn’t call for booing
