Grimsby doing it right. Started a mad menu. Doing nachos, jalapeños, cheese etc and other stuff. Ours cant even warm a fucking meat and tatty pie Cheese? Mad menu indeed. Who ever wants to buy a lump of cheese at a footy match? Must be crackers.

Got to admit, I cant be arsed bothering with catering anymore at the ground.
Im pleased weve moved to magic rock for alcohol but the prices and queueing really doesn't tempt me.

It's a once every two week job therefore it's likely that it's all agency staff. Agency staff suck. It's not their fault but 90% of them are inexperienced and have low drive. Add this to a logistics system that was thought up in the stone age and theres your problem.
I would love to operate one of those stalls, it's a license to print money. It's also not difficult to work out an efficient system. Unfortunately it doesnt seem like it's a priority so wont br sorted anytime soon.
A quick solution would be to hand operations of it over to smaller individual businesses selling their own product, the quality couldnt be any worse and theres incentive to be quicker.
If you're reading big Phil give us a bell, I'll have it sorted in no time 😉

If you're reading big Phil give us a bell, I'll have it sorted in no time 😉 I hear what the folks on this subject are saying... but I nearly keeled over at ma first Huddersfield Town match when I saw all the fans boozing in the Concourse, a truly incredible sight to behold given that no booze has been available at Scottish footy matches since 1980 after a pitch battle between Celtic and Rangers fans at The Scottish Cup Final. You wouldn’t even get it my local team Dumbarton’s single stand ground even if they drew non league Clachnacuddin of The Highland League in the cup. The service may not be perfect as the folks on here seem to be reporting... but trust me - Getting the chance to purchase alcohol at a football match truly is a thing of beauty !

Sadly, a lot of service in this country stinks. People providing front line services who can't even be pleasant to their customers. And I speak as a person whose job involves providing a front line service. If you can't be friendly and pleasant, then fuck off and find a job that doesn't require these basic customer service skills. Works both ways. I'm amazed how any folk are rude and ignorant towards those that are doing their best to serve them. You're both right. People working in these industries need to be pleasant to their customers, but equally the s**t they have to deal with at times is totally uncalled for. My daughter, having spent time working on the concourses at Elland Road, is spending the summer working at Butlins in Skegness. You should hear some of the stories she tells us about the holidaymakers and their behaviour - and that's just the adults, never mind the kids.

I was fortunate. Had such a terrible journey up from Worcester that I didn’t get in until the 74th minute. Thought a 0-0 wasn’t too bad.😂 Why didn’t you turn round and go home when it got so bad?! A very good question. My sister still lives in Huddersfield (and attends the matches) and we were visiting her for the weekend.

I use the M6 from West Midlands when I travel up for home games and I've had to turn round and go home twice before, when I've realised I wasn't going to get to the game!
