Why can't we have smile awhile when we walk out All We need is a nice tune to go with the lyrics

A proper brass band version of Smile Awhile shouldn't be difficult to put together. Could have a few different arrangements in different styles, and a nice traditional one.
Plenty of Brass bands in the area, not to mention the university.

It used to be played I’m sure it was an instrumental version It was a pretty awful electronic version. On the old "The Final Whistle" video there is a proper slow brass band version which sounds lovely. Must be kicking around somewhere.

They'd have to speed up that old instrumental version x3 to keep up with the speed it's sung now!
Love this rendition of it though :

They used to play that version at the end of all the matches maybe 10/15 years ago

Because it would be a bit daft to play it over a PA, and then be sung again about 90 seconds later

He knew the words - but he does get them wrong!
