Not sure if he’s a member on here or not but he’s someone I follow on Twitter for his opinions on Town and Yorkshire CC.
Just seen he’s posted the awful news about his cancer spreading, think I can safely say from the everyone on here we are all behind him!

Met him before and he’s a top lad . Absolutely gutted to see that but shows a certain level of braveness to be so open about it and keep fighting it.
All the best Daz - keep fighting mate.

it's fucking awful. Is there anything we can do to help in any way as a community?

it's fucking awful. Is there anything we can do to help in any way as a community? Maybe something from the club if anyone has any in roads? Signed shirt, message from the team? It’s not going to do a great deal but it may put a smile on his face.

Absolutely disgusting vile disease. Keeping fighting mate and stay positive very easy for me to say I know. My dad lost his fight in July and was my hero. However, I’ve never met a more positive humble man and fought right to end. He never moaned or complained which just made my admiration for him even stronger. My thoughts go out to you and your family right now. Once a terrier always a terrier. Stay strong.

I don't know the lad ,he looks quite young on his twitter page, cancer really is a bastard, good luck and best wishes. I'm no fan of Girls Aloud, but the recent death of Sarah Harding really highlights how indiscriminate and random it is. I know treatment has made massive strides in the last 20-30 years, with much better detection and survival rates, but isn't it time that we threw billions at cancers, (and dementia and alzeihmers) and get a step-change difference in outcomes? The last year has shown that humans are smart enough to deliver when there's enough money thrown at a problem. Cancer Research UK raise about half a billion a year and commit 3-400 million or so into research programmes. Its peanuts, why isn't it government funded with public money? The potential longer term savings on expensive treatment regimes and then extended palliative care must have some longer term value surely?

Good lad is Daz. A member of the CL14, been with the group since the north stand days. Always helped out, he was often found on the front row waving a flag. He came to the Fulham game and he looked seriously unwell. Gutted for the lad.

Follow him on Twitter and been keeping an eye on his progress on there. Devastating to see his tweet yesterday as he only looks to be a young lad and his diagnosis doesn't sound promising at all, poor lad 😔

As dreadful as it is incomprehensible. I am continually aghast at those who face such unimaginable news with courage and humanity.
I’ve never met the young man but wish him all the hope and love in the world.

Jeez... not a good news thread at all and yet it is in other ways some little bits of positivity..
It is heartening to see Daz is positive and is going to fight this with every bit of character he has and huge best wishes to you Daz from afar in The West Island in Bonnie Scotland..
It’s also heartwarming to read the kindest wishes of The DATM community to Daz and I’m sure all other Huddersfield Town fans on other social media that I’m not on will be there for him also..
One thing it does do is put into perspective that sometimes in life Football isn’t the most important thing out there and it’s a sharp jolt from dissecting the rights and wrongs of a (High flying HTAFC prior to Saturday) shock defeat to bottom of the table Forest.
Having lost ma late da’ and his sister to this bloody disease, every diagnosis makes one think, and while they’re getting closer to it with medical science, they’re not there just 100% yet, but there’s always the hope.
We are all with you Daz on every forward step of this journey. Take care, stay strong and stay safe and God Bless. From West Island Terrier...

I guess there can't be many people on here who haven't been touched in some way by this horrible, cruel disease. Many advances in recent years, but sadly not everyone gets the happy outcome. Puts a lot of things into perspective.
I don't know you Daz, but sending you love and hope you keep strong.

Bump -- if you can afford it, please do give. The individual and the wider cause of defeating cancer are worth any sacrifice you are able to make. As another poster said, it is the rare one among us who in some way, close or distant, are not affected.

Aye, sure makes one very proud to be a Huddersfield Town fan does that gesture... as not every club or set of players would possibly carry it out. Very well all done to the club officials that ok’d it and the players who displayed it.. HTAFC don’t always get it right on the field of play, but they get plenty correct of it and this is definitely one of these occasions...
