Can we bounce back following a tepid performance against QPR?
Hopefully the players will be up for this big Yorkshire derby 🙄 but would expect changes after the last 30 minutes on Friday night where a number of players were blowing out of their arses.
Boro seem to do better against good footballing sides, so I reckon we might have a chance.

I think everyone would settle for a point in this one. We haven't looked like a top six team in any of our recent games quality wise but the effort is always there and that seems to be dragging us towards the finish line.
I hope we go behind and have to chase the game rather than going in front and having to watch us camp in our half again

It's another tough game but any of the 3 outcomes are possible. Defeat, if that happened, isn't a disaster but we can get something from the game without a doubt.

I’d take a draw right now. They play 3 at the back so I’d be tempted to match that.
Nichols Turton lees Colwill Pipa Russell Hogg O’Brien Toffolo Ward (if fit, Koroma If not) Rhodes.
Can’t see anything but a loss but the team have surprised us before.

Can I ask that the players practice passing the ball to each other rather than their opponents?
We can then build on that. 👍

Arguably the most important of these 3 games as it's a team which could close the gap on us and 7th place.
5 more points should be plenty to get us a playoff spot. If we can take 1 on Monday then it's a great result as it prevents Boro from gaining on us.

Last time we won at Middlesbrough was 1986 at Ayresome Park. Since then Towns record is played 9 w 0 d 1 l 8
I know its irrelevant but..

Think Boro will be bang up for it and we’ll have some weary legs . Hopefully so will they after a long trip down south . Expect a very tough game and Ward to be out/rested meaning a no striker approach.
Nicholls
Turton lees Sarr Colwill Toffolo
Hogg o brien Russell
Thomas Holmes
A draw is a fantastic result here IF we beat Barnsley on Friday.

It's not irrelevant though, even at our place they have the hoodoo over us. They just seem to have somethinf over us, although the players won't be aware of it,it's just us fans that know these stats.

Admittedly the stats don't look very promising but you can always get surprises , I think we can win this one and put our previous results to bed , I feel positive we can win, 0-1 to Town , Sinani to score, as he seems to be receiving a bit of stick recently .UTT.

They have lost their last 2 games at home, if Hull can beat them, why not us.
Fulham Hull Preston Birmingham Blackpool Q.P.R
Have all won at Middlesborough.

In the context of the league table, the win against Luton was massive, the pressure on Middlesborough to win will be Hugh, we can go there with less pressure, sometimes in that scenario you get the rub of the green, or things tend to go for you, a draw would be nice, but I would not be surprised if we won.
How ironic would it be then to lose to Barnsley at home, bottom of the league.

I've got one of my 'feelings' about this game..Town are going to win . Bring home the 3 points, and us fans will be delirious with joy and optimism..
Put your money on it...
(I accept no liability if I'm wrong though...)

No Matt Crooks could be key, for them no Matt Crooks for 3 games could be crucial.

Nicholls in goal Turton or Pipa at right back Lees & Colwill at Centre half Toffolo at left back Hogg, O'Brien & Russell in Central midfield Thomas on the Right wing Ward at Centre Forward (Campbell & Rhodes to play 45 minutes each if he's not fit) Koroma on the Left Wing
Eiting on the bench, as we desperately needed to bring someone on who could pass the ball last night!
Don't move O'Brien & Thomas from their best positions, it's stupid.

If we get an early lead I don't think I could bear watching us defending for 80 mins.

I would love us to come away with 3 points from this one, but I would take a point.
I do think people on here need to have a bit more belief in the team, yes we had an off ish day yesterday, we all know these things happen in football.
It could have been worse, we could have lost to Reading or Peterborough, like the blunts and Blackburn.
We are in a good place and have a 2 game cushion on 7th spot, with games running out, lets just go to Boro on Monday, relax and make as much noise as we can to try and push the team on to victory. UTT

Another ground where we never get anything.
But, we can do this.
Got a feeling it will be decided by 1 goal either way.
Optimistic 1-0 town with a Lees header.

Wilder is clear favourite for the Burnley job. Could be nonsense but didn’t rule it out yesterday. Could add an interesting dimension to things.
