Dale Stephens would be a great addition. Many living off what he did 8 years ago. I bet there are quite a few free agents round Europe! It's become a lot harder to bring players in from Europe due to leaving the EU, especially the level of players we'd be looking at.

Depending on what happens with Kasumu's injury on Friday, we could be short in midfield all of a sudden. We don't seem to be linked with any midfielders on loan. The following players are midfielders who are still free agents. Carel Eiting (although I doubt he'd come back) Lukas Rupp (could do worse, played a bit part role for Norwich the last few seasons) Fabian Delph (probably too high wages) Leandro Bacuna (got consistent pelters from Cardiff fans last season for his performances) Tom Carroll (was alright years ago but not sure what he's been up to lately) Massimo Luongo (ditto) Dale Stephens (wouldn't want him here, dirty bastard!) not the most inspiring list! Dale Stephens would be a great addition. Many living off what he did 8 years ago. An appalling player, a thug in a football shirt, never forget the awful knee high, so called tackle, on Adam Hammill when he played for Charlton! - UTT.

Sounds like just what we need after Fridays open door policy in midfield!!

Stephens would be fine for a year given how light we looked in the middle, it could be the ultimate bromance him and Hogg, kiss and make up?

An appaling player that would walk into our midfield? Yeah it was a bad challenge, but was 8 years ago. What Hammill did to a paramedic was worse. Get over it.

Hammill was totally out of order in the paramedic incident. Dale Stephens tackle on Hammill, was shocking, the two incidents were equally reprehensible. Hammill was charged & found guilty in a Court Case, in Liverpool. Two wrongs don't make a right, watched Town since 1962, the Dale Stephens tackle on Adam Hammill, was one of the worst tackles, I've seen live!

But he would walk into our team, and would improve us. Would you have had Roy Keane after the Haaland tackle? Or Cantona after the Palace incident? We even had Koroma with an ugly challenge V Stoke last year. It happens. Part and parcel of the game.

A 33 year old thug who played just 3 matches last season would walk into a midfield (minus LOB) that made the playoffs last season? Yeah, right!

Initial impression was he was going to Aus or to China, but that hasn't happened yet. Would be a very solid signing for us.

Cant beat experience around a squad. And right now we have very limited options.

Obviously wasn't the worst tackle ever made but the funniest after-effect I've ever seen was John Thorrington looking like he was doing dizzy penalties

We have three playing in the B team game, one who Portsmouth decided not to sign this summer how exciting.
