Nichols Turton Lees Colwill Toffs Russell Hogg Obrien Sorba Ward Holmes/Koroma (is he fit?) At any rate I would play someone up front on our left to keep Spence busy No way Koroma starts. He's fallen well down the pecking order and deservedly so based on his performances. I am certain he would shrink if thrown onto the big stage.

He’s definitely earned a starting shirt.

In the second leg Sinani was easily knocked off the ball about 5 times in the first half. So were most of our team. But once again Sinani gets scapegoats. Even big Jon got knocked off it by Campbell who is about a foot smaller. Only 1 that didnt was Rhodes when he came on! 2nd half we were much more in it though.

Forest crap at set piece defending and we are pretty good at them Also Samba... That boy has more than one mistake in him a game. He was outstanding last night no doubt but I have a feeling he will have a bit of a shocker against us. That back 4 in front of him are pretty average. Forests asset is pace on the wings and the no. 9 Davis I think was excellent when he came on. A handful. Nullify that and we win. Carlos will have a plan. He always does. Not scared whatsoever. Bring it on Back 4 pretty average is doing them a disservice to be honest - Worrall is very good and will certainly be off to the prem if they don’t go up. They’ve conceded 7 less than us this season after having a shocking start. Don’t judge their last performance as their quality over the whole season.

90th minute winner I can see , either rhodes or Holmes to score, jumping into stand celebrating with us and Holmes gives the wanker sign towards the forest fans and see them lot cry and start the fireworks

They are clear favourites & were the underdogs
It’s the reversal of the semi final but we saw that was close… and could have gone the other way
There’s nothing to say it can’t go out way on the day
We’ve got a good habit of not conceding when under pressure and scoring a set piece winner
Add to that in m our last 4 appearances in the play off finals we’ve scored 0, conceded 3 but been promoted 3 times - never write us off!

Feel a bit sorry for Pearson who's been a big part of our defence most of this campaign. Lees is playing at his maximum just now though, but my concerns are over Colwill,Sarr and Pipa who to me all have a mistake in them. Turton has done well so I'd have him in a back 4..with Toffs at lb. We can't afford to leave space behind our fullbacks or we will be fully exposed.. I remember that 1st half at forest in the cup where Ruffles had an absolute nightmare at lb and was taken off at half time.. With you on that & I'd be delighted if he could play a part in this, but my gut tells me - particularly given he's not even been on the bench - that he won't be involved. Could really use the solidity he provides if he is available though. With you on leaving space behind fullbacks. They are outstanding on the wings & can carve sides open if you give them the opportunity. As much as I rate Pipa, I think this is a game for Turton.

Surprised to read it's Forest's first trip to Wembley since '92?
I make this our 6th trip there in that time?

With Sorba we have the set piece delivery sorted. Sort of - although Sinani offers the left footed option and if they're both over the ball it leaves the opposition guessing. Personally I'd chose Holmes for this one but if it's Sinani instead I wouldn't be too upset there either.

First league game where we virtually played halfway inside our half and pressed anything in the middle third proved fairly succesful.. Didnt get caught over the top or longer diagonals and played most of the game looking at their goal not running back towards ours. It was a Town 21/22 performance and there has been many, just need one more good one.

The key advantage we hold over them is fitness & resilience. In both semis they looked leggy as fuck after 60 min and were a yard off the pace all over the pitch, and with better finishing the Blades would have killed them off. If we can keep them at bay for that long then the more time drags on, the more it will favour us.

Edit - see above Blackpool 6 times incredible if so Sheff Utd we’re 0/4 finals & Forest have never been in a play off final which I find bizarre! Not every team has one every 5 years!

We have nothing to fear, yes, they are a good side & the manager is as good as he is ugly, but we are a good side too, with a half decent manager to boot.
They may be the bookies favourites but serious gamblers will likely be on us.... we finished above them, have a seriously good play off record & have a much better record over the last 5 or 6 games. The pressure is all on Forest, who, apparently, only have to turn up to win.
I believe they edge it on individual skill but I'd back our team spirit over anyone's.
Let's just enjoy it, trust in the lads &, whatever happens, we have far surpassed this season what anyone on here thought at the start of the season.

Its all about the pressure. Those players are not robots and they will be feeling it. The Premier League, ok some will never get to step out on the grass next season, but you know they want it. They want the Cup, they want the glory. This isn't like a normal league game, its immense. A single moment, a single mistake or a flash of brilliance from either side can win it. Expect Thomas to start, quality balls right from the off. Rhodes has a calm head, I think we will score at least once in 90 minutes, then its down to Nichols and the defence to keep it clean. How is anybody going to get any sleep over the next 10 days

Far too many players deserving to start at this point. By my reckoning:
Nicholls, Turton, Pipa, Pearson, Lees, Hogg, Colwill, Sarr, Toffolo, Russell, O'Brien, Holmes, Sinani, Thomas, Ward, and Rhodes all deserve a starting spot based on their performances in the last 5 games (apart from Pearson who was injured but still a key figure when he was playing). That makes 16.
Defence is very, very settled so can't see Pearson forcing his way back in. We know it won't be both Ward and Rhodes (I'm tempted to start Ward and introduce Rhodes). Turton if fit I think should be on the bench with Pipa starting. Colwill I think would deal with their type of attacking threat better than Sarr (who's ideal for defending last minute hit and hopers).
That leaves an awkward trilemma of Holmes, Sinani, and Thomas, 1 of whom won't start. Holmes was our best outlet in the first half on Monday and was good in the away leg too, so it would be very harsh to drop him. Sinani played the best I've ever seen him in the away leg, so likewise. And Thomas not only delivered the perfect balls but was so fired up off the ball as well. Someone answer for me!

I think that Carlos will go 4-3-3 starting Turton, Holmes and Sinani Hogg in midfield Expect that subs will be Thomas, Pipa and Anjorin barring injuries
