We’ll be looking for another left-sided centre back then…

I was surprised Harratt went there as I thought he'd earned a step up, but over time realised a full season starting there would be good for him, under a manager who used to be a great striker himself. This I'm not so sure about, Rom has proved himself to be too good for that division already with his spell at Swindon. Surely a middling League One club where he's likely to start regularly would be better for his development?

He is out of contract after the season and 23 years old now. Didn’t really work for him at Plymouth, could be that the club has decided he won’t make it here and this is a deal which mean he will join Bradford permanently after the season. (With some sort of sell-on included
If this is not the case I also struggle to see the logic in this loan

Thinking I might back Bradford next season. They have a spring in their step.

As a loan to develop him for our first team it's difficult to see the logic of this but if it's about looking after a player who won't make it here it makes perfect sense to send him to a club where he should excel and make a career for himself. It's a shame because I thought he might make it. Excellent piece of business for Bradford.

To be fair he might still make it, Boyle has just made it back to the Championship at 26, Matty Pearson was probably about that age too.

Boyle made it, but he had to leave permanently in order to do so. Josh Windass & Matt Crooks also made it to play at the same level as us in the same way. I would not be surprised to see Crichlow plying his trade in the Championship in a few years' time - but if he does so at his current parent club then I expect it will be in the same way as Boyle did - i.e. he left then came back.

Feels like this is the final nail in his Town career coffin. Just shows how different the judgement of a player can be between fans and coaches, plenty on here seemed to think he was worthy of our first team already.

We'll probably sign him back in a few years, fits the scouting criteria, ex player.

What's happening to Matty Pearson..? He's had a fantastic season for us until that game at WBA where he struggled out on the right of a 3 man defence.. Soon after he was injured and that was that. We missed him I thought.. He wouldn't have ended up with an own goal at Wembley for sure, he got properly stuck in.
Hope we're not replacing him.

Are you suggesting Levi's OG came from him not getting "stuck in" 🤔

He was injured towards the end of the season and that should have been him out for the season. However, he's that well thought of, he was on the substitutes bench for the play-off final with no 'warm up' games!

Listen to the darragh Mac podcast and he does it with Bradford fan Phil Idson (I think it is) and he has mentioned Romoney. Basically said he is probably going to be the best player in the league, he's a cut above everyone and he says he reminds him of a young Dean Richards. Shame we couldnt get him a 'higher' division loan to really test him

He was very good at Swindon in league 2 so think he’s definitely above that level.

Looks like a real prospect, very good in the air with a bit of physicality and pace to his game too.

I had wondered if we'd written him off by sending him to a level where he's already proven himself more than capable, but now I see how few of our players have gone on loan anywhere and I wonder if it's a thing amongst clubs from Lg1 downwards this season that loans aren't a big part of many clubs' strategies. Even so, I would have preferred to see him tested somewhere a bit better than where he is

I always thought he looked better than REG. Looked naturally stronger. But after his MOM debut has he played for us since really? Be interesting season ahead for both of these 2 at the respective clubs

Due to his height and his ball playing ability, I've always thought he could be the ideal replacement for Hogg, REG that is.
