Simpson would be a brilliant investment from Town. Bags of potential and an abundance of pace, would bring a completely different dynamic to what we currently have up front.
That being said, I'd like to see Rhodes get his chance up front in the league over Ward.

last i saw it said it was down to the personal terms stage. That seems to be a stumbling block lately where Town are concerned.

If he is that good then why is he in Ipswich reserves [cough] Lee Nicholls [cough] Just for clarification, Nicholls was being left out of the first team picture due to his refusal to sign a new contract, and had made clear his intention to leave the club, it was never a question of his ability.

Isn't that the situation with Simpson too? I've no idea. Could be wrong but I think Ipswich activated their option on him even though he'd refused to sign an extension and said he wanted to move to a higher level. Ipswich fan I know isn't very complementary about his attitude.

Swindon fans love him however!

I don’t think Ipswich have been very good , kid doing well on loan so they recalled him in Jan and basically said if you don’t sign a new contract you can’t go back out on loan ! He didn’t want to sign so they’ve basically sent him to “Coventry”(and not the football club)

Slight hiccup with personal terms, classic htafc. His agent is now putiting his name out to other clubs as a back up.
Still in our favour at the moment 70/30. Need to push down on the acceleration now

Relax, Kenny. All agreed then Matt? It's never done until he's pictured holding the above his head on social media , football transfers can be as mad as a box of frogs. But I think Kenny can relax on the "typical HTAFC" stuff, Dean, Leigh and co I think can be trusted now to do what's right for the club on a case by case basis.

It was only really a joke about Coventry not playing games rather than who is at fault for him not playing.

That being said, I'd like to see Rhodes get his chance up front in the league over Ward. If he is that good then why is he in Ipswich reserves I posted a couple of videos on this thread (page 4) that explain. To summarise though, they won't play him or allow him out on loan because he refused to sign a new contract. Ipswich are playing hardball on this. Also, we wouldn't be buying someone who is going to walk straight into our first team immediately. We wouldn't be buying him because of how good he is now, but how good he's likely to become. A project player.
