Bring back the pasty Pirlo and I’ll never speak ill of Mr Hoyle again. I will join you on that one, bring back Mooy and I’ll shut my gob on club investment. TBF, if he came back I’d be seeing us as automatic promotion prospects.

Would absolutely love to see him back but would wonder how they’ll fit him in, especially as in a World Cup year he’d likely want guaranteed minutes.

That’s that sorted then

Just go get him!!!!!!
Even on a 4 month deal i’d have him. It’d also make the World Cup more entertaining.

When's Kachunga, Schindler, Smith and Palmer coming back? Ffs. You talk some absolute shit mate. The fact that you don’t realise that if Mooy came to the championship he’d be the best midfielder in the championship says it all. You obviously didn’t watch him run the game v Peru in a World Cup qualifier, otherwise you would be gagging to get him back. To take a pass and let him go to a top 6 competitor would be a huge mistake, possibly costing us promotion and giving promotion to wherever he ends up. I’m not having it you mentioning him with Kachunga, Smith and Palmer. Schindler is the only one of those who deserves a mention, and he’s done and cooked when he got injured. Someone else mentioned him going to Celtic, I doubt he will end up there, they’ve got a packed midfield, they are short of a true 6 and so they would have to offload and can’t see that happening. I just hope he doesn’t turn up at sevco because I wouldn’t forgive him if he did that. Why would I watch Peru vs Australia?

Personally last season it felt like teams worked us out at times and could frustrate us by sitting deep as we didn't have the 'class' to break teams down. This probably unfairly created criticism of Carlos's style and we seemed to play consistently well away from home where the onus was on the home team to take the game to us, this is even true of our home matches against the likes of WBA where we conceded possession and played on the counter. I think it was less about Carlos-ball being poor to watch and just more that we didn't have the personnel to really make it more attractive to watch and break teams down/score more goals.
For me, Mooy would change this. He has that little touch of magic and not only with his passing, but more importantly how he could dictate the pace of the game, knowing when to speed it up or slow it down.
Not to take anything away from our current squad that did so well last year, but that sprinkling of gold dust was missing and could really raise the level of this team.
If there is any chance of making this move happen I believe it would be a game changer in this squad. It is just an unknown over the finance if such a deal is possible with our budget.
It would be very ironic, if Carlos left due to lack of investment/quality of players able to bring in and the Australian magician comes back and makes it all tick for Danny Schofield. UTT

Why would I watch Peru vs Australia? Well then why would you write him off if you haven’t seen him? Show me where I've written him off? I just don't want him, ex players returning very rarely works and I'd rather leave him in the past. Because people like you would be the first to start moaning if he came back and wasn't very good.

What the type of person who actually knows how one of our ex-players is performing? The type who would love to have him back… as I said, you talk a lot of shit mate.

There’s ex players returning generally and then there’s the best player to play for Town ever, returning. Hardly comparable.

Ward has done better, dare say Holmes has too. You want your head checking if you wouldn't take Mooy back. You're massively negative I must say I'm "massively negative" for not wanting ex players back? Okay then. You've all been moaning since last week about a lack of ambition and now you're all demanding we bring back yet another ex player (that didn't want to be here back in 2019) and I'm the negative one? Maybe we should show some ambition and sign the next Mooy? No, all your posts are negative. You come on just to argue it seems. Go put that effort into the village getting to the league, they'd piss it

All I've said is that I don't want him, no argument, nothing, just a view (which last time I checked is allowed). I've probably seen 20 ex players return in my years watching Town and about three of them have lived up to their previous spells at the club. I want the club to show a bit of ambition and not just use the phone numbers in Dean Hoyle/Leigh Bromby's phonebook. That isn't "negative", it's the total opposite. Also, I've got nothing to do with "the village".

So if we had Ronaldo, you wouldn't want him back had he gone elsewhere a few seasons? You're talking utter bollocks just because they're former players, doesn't mean theyre shit. Nothing to do with the village, yet on DATM under the name GUFC. Advertises games when Town aren't playing. Right then
