Barnsley in two weeks - we are doomed If we can choose who we play, I guess Barnsley isnt the worst choice. Better starting match than Burnley?😉

Some interesting quotes today from Narcis at the presser. Essentially says that he will be staying regardless of who comes in as head coach - imo the club must really rate him if they do end up keeping him around.

“Narcis was always our first choice to succeed Danny as part of our 35 year succession plan. Over the summer he was head hunted by one of Andorra’s leading clubs but he decided he couldn’t tear himself away from Brackenhall”.

Be interesting to see how much he changes. If anything. Hopefully we will see players in their natural positions.

Narcis for manager!!!!
I put this on another thread, but more passion in the first 30 seconds than Danny showed in 69 days. Bromby maybe had the right idea but chose the wrong man. Narcis as manager and Danny as assistant would have been alot more sensible.
Probably too much of a risk now, but wagner until the end of the season followed by Narcis.

Spoke really well. Hopefully the players take it on board tomorrow. Completely agree and very different to DS. Whereas Schofield talks about progression and too often stated that we played well. Narcis is more matter of fact and critical where needed. "we Have to be better, we HAVE to raise our levels" etc. A good pre match conference for me

One word.
“Inspiring”
Come on Narcis. As much as I want Wagner to return, you deserve to show what you can do.

Tbf not surprised they do rate him, he’s the brains behind our set pieces and considering 128% of our goals last year were from set pieces, it makes sense.

He was asked whether he wanted the job and he said no. He also mentioned getting back to his old role of set pieces, defending, whatever else he did. I think he knows it will be a new broom, let’s just hope he doesn’t get swept away by it.

As soon as a new guy comes in odds he will want his own backroom boys, maybe not time will tell.

As soon as a new guy comes in odds he will want his own backroom boys, maybe not time will tell. They always bring in their own assistant but we have a large coaching staff at Town and it would be useful for a new guy to have decent coaches in place who know the players well. Narcis seems like one of those the players will probably like and speak to, it allows the head coach to be more detatched. We have lost 3 coaches and brought in one so we may keep the ones we have doing their specialist functions. Also if Dean's 'continuity' is to be maintained we cannot really chuck them all away and start again, plus the cost involved doing that. If we have good coaches who are well liked it is quite a risk getting rid of them for a bunch you have no idea about.

Seems a leader of men, best of luck Narcis my friend.
Anyone who doesn’t want to watch the full interview, I’d suggest watching his answer around 5.30ish and the look in his eyes whilst he’s talking 👏🏻👏🏻

In one press conference he has inspired me more than the naive “win together lose together “ Danny was spouting.

Our two strongest attributes last season was defence & set-pieces, it's no surprise that Narcis is the coach for both. The club should do everything possible to keep him when the new head coach comes in.

What was the reason for promotion Schofield ahead of him? He seemed to have a more senior position or atleast looked more involved in match day decisions that Schofield last season so it seemed a bit strange for Danny to leap past him and become numero uno
