He'd be coming to start and not sure we could guarantee him that

Southampton are after Delap, who's from Winchester. I believe they want a permanent deal. It is likely that Adam Armstrong could be released, possibly on loan. Could Town afford his wages? I've seen him play and he strikes me as oner of those players who is very good at Championship level (as his record at Blackburn showed), but not good enough for the Premier League. Billy Sharp is a similar example.

Stoke are still hopeful of a Delap deal according to Percy.

Stoke don’t half spray cash around. Must be close to breaking FFP as I don’t recall them selling too many for big bucks.

A bit too much money to spend & too easily tempted into buying good individuals rather than building a team. Hard to see how they turn it around without a massive shift in policy & some longterm planning.

They gave us over £14m for Ince & Smith since they got relegated, both of which left on free transfers this window. I presume they've sold their ground to their owners or something to get around FFP?

Yes, I think they did just before the rules changed to stop clubs doing it in the future. Kerching!

A few Ipswich fans seem to think we are after Kayden Jackson as well 🤷🏻♀️. I know we’ve been interested in him before!
Let’s see if Dr Nose F All copies this 🤣😂🤣😂

Let’s see if Dr Nose F All copies this 🤣😂🤣😂 Alan Nixon reported this earlier today: Huddersfield are keen on Ipswich’s out of favour strikers Kayden Jackson and Tyreece Simpson. Jackson may be interested in the Championship move if they clubs can sort out a fee or even a swap. But Simpson is also of interest and that deal maybe easier to do.

I can't see us being in for two unless we are letting one go!

I can't see us being in for two unless we are letting one go! I’m guessing Simpson would go into B team for a bit until upto championship standard 🤷🏻♀️

Be surprised if we did go in for another on top of Simpson.would suspect like couple have said that he plays in the b team but promoted to the bench if either ward or Rhodes unavailable. With an eye on him been ready next season. Ward out of contract next summer, though would think depending on how he does this year he gets another year.Rhodes up in 2024 but if he were to get somewhere coming up towards 10 from the bench we may get an offer from a team lower down the leagues. I feel like ward can be relied on to start and Rhodes from the bench this season so Simpson has time to develop.

I can't see us being in for two unless we are letting one go! I just don’t see the Kayden Jackson link at all. We were interested a couple of seasons ago as a backup/replacement for Fraser Campbell. Apparently he's a similar type of non-scoring striker 😙.

For me Ward and Rhodes need to start. Jordan will always score. Danny has the energy. Thomas, Koroma,Russell, Ruffels don’t deserve a shirt at the moment. Shouldn’t you play to your strengths ?
So another striker is 100% needed if he did play them both.
Who plays if Hogg and Rudhoni get injured though ?
Squad is weak.

Still think we’re missing a trick with Scott High & his energy
