The Club have been trying to get on top of this for a while. The trolling is persistent and he keeps reacting. What would you do? I’d drop off SM and concentrate on my career and a potential WC. What bigger incentive is there than that? Pass it to those that deal with fuckwittery on line, concentrate on your job and future. I have no idea about what these fuckwits are getting at and I am not a supporter of the new law of 'no smoke without fire'. Nothing solid placed at his door so nothing out of place has happened. The idea of arguing with unknown folk who are either making shit up or trying to make shit out of nothing much, defeats me, it becomes pointless.How long have you been on DATM? 🤣 |

Is it the screenshots of his messages where he's trying to chat up a 16yr old girl? How does anyone know she is 16? Some dicks on there have set up accounts just to taunt him. Ethically it isn't on but 16 is legal age isn't it? I might be wrong. Your right and like it or not, many 16 year old girls would be attracted to a 23 year old footballer. |

I've heard that some of the abuse he's been getting has been racial - might not be true, might well be true. If it is then those so-called "fans" can crawl back into the sewer from whence they came.
I haven't seen the screenshots, so I can't comment.
But it's all just so counter-productive. I don't like the team not doing very well, but to get on the back of one of your own players because you don't have the emotional maturity to channel it in the right way, or to just not let it affect you so much that it drives you to that sort of shit - maybe you need to have a quiet word with yourself.

There’s a proper witch hunt against Sorba on Twitter and it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s made up. It's not made up, and it's not illegal. |

I can't warm to the guy. The one thing I find most annoying is that it's only two years since he was working on a building site. Surely he must know how fortunate a position he is now in but he seems to have that cocky big time attitude that you see from players who have come up through the system and never known a hard days work.
We need to get him away from the left hand side though because he has no idea how to receive the ball with his back to the play and not lose it. He just runs towards his own goal, gets muscled out of it, slaps the floor in frustration and whines to the lino or ref about it

I struggle to see how people can form such strong, seemingly visceral opinions on Sorba Thomas. In his interviews last year he seemed like a breath of fresh air. I agree that the recent kick-back has been pathetic. But last year he was perceived as a humble kid who turned up to pre-season training early, stayed late, and asked how he could improve (source: Corberan - who raved about his mindset before a ball was even kicked). This time round, things are different. Lack of a full pre-season - not his fault: Play Off campaigns and Welsh call-ups got in the way. But his hunger and desire to prove people wrong seems to have gone. Feels like he believes he's now made it, so why do more? I hope it's just a blip. He seems a genuinely nice lad who is in love with the game, which is exactly what you want from a footballer. Maybe we (the fans) need to show him some more love, but it's also a chicken and egg situation if he's sulking. Just want him to get back into form before the World Cup, as that'll benefit all of us. |

He had a dip in form last season and came back strongly.
As others have said, his form is probably influenced by the rest of the team, and whatever’s been going on behind the scenes.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens on Sat. If something suddenly clicks (& stays in place), then maybe it was attributed to the wrong choice of coach.
Not long till we find out anyway.

Flair player, showing no flair has to then put the work in. We can only just about afford a good free kick or a corner from him on our better days as a team. We cant carry him on the bad days. I want him to be great, run at folk, take the piss, score goals, send in dangerous free kicks, corners, but on difficult days I will take hard work and keeping switched on. |

Most of his corners failed to beat the first man and he was playing with frustration. He was a red card waiting to happen and was rightly hooked. He is clearly playing in the wrong position. Holmes, on the other hand, was pretty decent first half but he was getting shit from people around me. Funny how we all see things differently. |

They wont accept a corner or a free kick now and again, falling over, feigning being fouled, giving the ball away and standing still or arguing with the ref when he really hasnt played well enough to warrant his anger. Kicking out at the Burnley player when we were a goal down should have seen stern words from the management. I want a flair player at Town to thrive but he has to work hard as well and be a team player of sorts.. |
