It probably was a red card but there seemed to be a foul beforehand by a Forest player. Anyway who is to say they would have scored? Agreed. Gibbs-White kicked out a leg at Moder and could himself have been sent off for violent conduct - but no one else seems to have seen that. I think that slowed the Brighton player down. Maybe without that kick by Gibbs-White, he would have got to the challenge quicker. The disciplinary panel are sitting today and will consider if MGW will be upgraded from a pillock to an outright tw*t… The Forest thing sticks in our craw because of one season, but it’s strange how that can then influence your thoughts on their players. I appreciate you’ve had a lifetime of their supporters at much closer quarters, so maybe them being relegated after the hype that took them up, will give you a warmer and fuzzier feeling than most of us…

Apparently Forest were one of the 10 clubs to reject the agreement with the EFL. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68542248Bournemouth and Palace being another 2. I suppose the Government might well change soon so will this even go ahead. ?

"We LOVE VAR, we LOVE it, we LOVE it!"
If ever a comment came back to bite you on the arse, this is it 🤣

I'm still convinced that influenced certain decisions and attitudes towards us in 2022.

Apparently part of the proposal was to get rid of parachute payments.
Probably why teams voted against it

Did we actually object to that? I believe it was reported as such at the time. Think the clubs voted on the payout and Town were one of the only, if not THE only, club who voted against.

Then Luton to trounce Forest in the next game, to even be sweeter. Then Forest get a points deduction the next day 😂 Part 1 done, part 2 and 3 to follow.

Never used to have a problem with Forest. But the more they bleat the more intense my dislike becomes. When you've been the biggest beneficiary of VAR cock-ups it's best to keep quiet about it when they're against you. I know Carlos is also to blame for his tactics and subs, etc but they owe a HUGE thanks to incompetent** refereeing IMO ** or corrupt depending if you're a conspiracy theory believer.

Nobody knows how the game would have ended. We could have missed penalties. Forest may have come back from 1 down to win. For me, their fans leading up to and on the day were the biggest set of cards I have come across in such a situation. Even Leeds and Massive fans wouldn't have been on that level I don't think. Then the whole VAR decisions and the fact even their own player, Steve Cook, took the piss on their parade shows their true humility. I hope they vet screwed every week. I hope Luton get a 99th minute dodgy pen to win this weekend.

Moss was determined to 'referee' his last game. It was a minor match for him involving non premier league teams and VAR should not have been involved because as a top, top, premier ref he didnt need them for a minor match. Offsides maybe, any other onfield decision was going to be his and his alone, he was not going to look at incidents again, if he said he saw it and gave it or not, that was that, no intefeering from lesser refs in VAR were not to bother him. That Forest didnt produce one dodgy incident in our box does not help me in this opinion of what was set for that match but I believe he was going out on top and no critique or question on his decisions was ever going to be allowed.

Don't hold your breath though, they'll probably find a reason to blame James Herriot before the season is out!

He was fat, unfit añd at the end of his career on field. VAR should have at least asked him to look again at the incidents, they didnt because he told them he had seen the incidents and had MADE the decision, it appeared agreed beforehand that if he gave a decìsion, it would not be questioned and he would not review it anyway. Clearly he may have used VAR for an offside or something off the ball, but if he saw it and said so, he gave his decision, no second guessing.

You wait around long enough, and a comeuppance likely happens. I’m still waiting to pay Birmingham City back for 2001 and that could also happen this season. Every dog has it’s day and all that.

Being fat and unfit he desperately needed VAR but seems he was determined not to use it unless he had zero choice. He was with other premier league refs encouraged to use var and accept he cant always be on the spot or be able to see through players with the eyes of a shithole rat, but for lesser games, he was a top league ref doing the teams a favour with his vast experience, breasts and waistline, and he could do it with minimal assistance. I dont think he cheated or whatever, I think we simply paid for his overblown sense of his abilities.
