Ruffels just isn’t Championship quality. He was fine as Toffolo’s back-up but isn’t a first teamer imo from what I’ve seen. Surely today would have been a good chance to play Melik and Yuta together, Ben Jackson at LB? QPR next week I think and that’s a place where you don’t want to be debuting players, a nasty tight little ground with a niggly team.
For the record, I wouldn’t want Wagner back either. He’d tarnish his legacy with this squad I feel. We need an old school man-manager, but the club don’t seem to want to have that authority stood up to the powers that be.
I could be totally wrong; Ruffels slap a hat-trick in etc but pigs may also fly.
