All I can think is that he's giving Russell a chance to play himself back into form, and sees dropping him from the first XI as potentially destroying his confidence. There's no other explanation for him being in there. Maybe he has some compromising photos tucked away in an envelope?

I said after the transfer window closed that I was still worried about our left side. The squad selected for today's game is a good illustration of why. Whoever has been given the task of following Josh Bowler is going to have a field day. They'll have a task on since he doesn't play for them anymore and is currently in Greece I'll rephrase. Whichever Blackpool player gets the shirt that would ordinarily have gone to Josh Bowler is going to have a field day. Bowler is a tough act to follow but whoever's job it is couldn't have asked for a better first game to showcase their talents. Looking at the side we've put out, the only left sided CB on the pitch isn't going to play at LCB. Beating the entirely right footed Tom Lees down their right/our left is not going to be difficult. |

A back 3, with only 1 centre back in the 3? Surely we wont set up like that? I also dont get why Sorba is always on the left, when he was one of the players of the season on the right? 4 points adrift in the bottom 3, we really need a result, and I cant see us getting anything if we set up like that. If DS gets out done on the tactics by the genius journeyman that is Michael Appleton, he should walk himself from embarassment.
