I swore I wouldn't start one of these again, but what with the technology letting us down I can't be that much of a fecking jinx can I???
Hope he gives Pat Jones a start, plus a couple of other changes, the team needs freshening up & needs to get its mojo back from somewhere.
UTT!!!

We will get stuffed.
Too soon to place so much on young Jones' shoulders - he performed one trick very well at the weekend and looks full of promise, let's not break him?

Can’t wait. Great day out. Less pressure away from home. Players in their correct position. Two upfront. 2-1 town

Agreed, there are players who have had long and successful careers based on little more. He's young and talented, could be a part of the core of the next Generation! of winners. UTT.

I am really, really hoping to get a round pegs in round holes game.
We need the players to get comfortable in the positions and to play with freedom - I would throw away the game now and focus on getting the team structure correct.

I'm gonna make a bold prediction that it'll be a sloppy performance where we can't pass very well, make basic organisational errors in defence, Rudoni looks bright and energetic but ultimately forms part of a flat and slow midfield, Jones has an exciting cameo off the bench and comes agonisingly close to getting us back in the game after a first half error leading to a goal, Rhodes comes on for Ward, a defender really gets away with one, but we still lose. It's only happened the 3 times this season, who's to say we can't do it again!

Last chance saloon for me. Helik - must start, Russel - get him to the bench, the slowest footballer ever to wear the Town shirt, must bring in Camara. Keep Thomas on the right - might just scrape a draw.

Anything other than a loss would be a miracle. No sign of hope until a change in management.
If I'm wrong fantastic but for me there is nothing so far to say otherwise

Can't see anything other than a defeat here unfortunately.
What an absolute fuck up from the club that saw us challenging for automatic promotion last season to not being able to buy a win this.
A few more games of Scoball will see us cut well adrift at the bottom.

So realisticaly,we lose on saturday and if we lose the next 2 before the international break we could be cut adrift with a bloody mountain to climb. Then Deano decides we need a change of coach/manager,who in there right mind is going to take it on??

A "predictable draw"? I don't think that there's anything predictable about it; I'd say it would be far more of "an unlikely draw" or "an unexpectedly fortunate draw".

Both Helik and Mbete to start surely?
That's stronger before we start but struggling for optimism even so.
Wonder if Kasumu gets in. Jones and Sorba wide? Tino more central, up with Ward?
Danny may as well go for it.
Could just do with something going our way for a change.

I know we said it before the Blackpool game, but he surely can’t persist with playing so many players out of position.
Play centre backs at centre back, full backs at full back and midfielders in midfield. Play players on their preferred side. Don’t play Ruffels, Hayden or Russell. Consider playing Rhodes AND Ward if we go behind. Play Pat Jones. Don’t leave new signings on the bench because they’re “not ready” (if they are fit).
I mean, we’re not putting a man on the moon here. Keep it simple, get them organised and working hard and see where it takes us.

I'm expecting us to plod along, fuck about at the back while the new defenders watch from the bench,Ward to go off for Rhodes,Tino to get tired and Holmes come on, put the ball up his shirt to dry it and take a couple of short long throws, and Jones to come on when it's too late to salvage a draw.

Five men at the back and one up top in the last few minutes yesterday. Against sodding tinpot Blackpool.

There were many contenders for most depressing moment on Sunday. However, Paul Ogden, who gets dafter by the week, yelling "STAND BY FOR DWAYNE HOLMES!" was certainly up there.

The game is hard enough for us at the moment without making it more complicated than it needs to be.

I'll be down in London on a completely unrelated matter, but will be keeping an eye on the score naturally as most have said though I have very little confidence of getting anything out of the game.
