Lose tomorrow and he will be gone surely.... gets a draw tomorrow he might get chance to win on Saturday, but even 2 points from both games I think he's gone. 3 points I still think he goes, 4 points minimum from the 2 games. I still think they’ll give him till Saturday even in defeat tomorrow night (hopefully it’s three points tho)... However it’s a helluva huge week pending for Danny and his Terriers and Dean and the club I guess - and ultimately us Huddersfield Town fans as well... Be interesting to see how it all pans out - how beautiful six points would be - Ach I’d better put ‘Daydream Believer’ on Alexa... Oh me of such little faith !!!

Good job Chicken isn't manager, he's got Helik to start alongside Lees and Yuta with Mbete on the bench, Sorba to play LWB, Hoggy back in CM with Kasumu on the bench and he'd play Holmes on the left over Pat Jones What's wrong with that?

DS must know he’s on borrowed time unless we start winning so I reckon he might go into these games with a mindset of f#ck it, we’ll play how I originally wanted and what will be will be.
So back to 4-2-3-1: Nicholls Turton, Lees, Malik, Yuta Hogg, Kasumu Sorba, Rudoni, Tino Ward

Need to go for it , however knowing that Wigan have looked relatively strong soaking up pressure and counter attacking this season it feels like another Blackpool. However would go with Jordan up top as think we will get chances.
Nichols
Helik Lees Mbete
KKH Hogg Rudoni Nakayama
Thomas Anjorin
Rhodes
For me both Tino and Sorba to have free roles and get up supporting Rhodes. Both wing backs to push on and Hogg to drop into back four if needed .

Does Alexa understand Scottish? Just imagining Westie’s Alexa explaining to him “ Och, Yer canna listen to that track Westie unless you upgrade your subscription “

It will be a scrappy game what ends with a draw and gives DS more time at the club

They were all his changes, I'd hope both Helik and Mbete are better than what we had so start them both. Sorba's shite as a LWB. I'd like to see Kasumu and Camara get a go in midfield, they're both more mobile and better on the ball than Hoggy. Lastly who's going to scare Wigan more, an unknown quantity that's like lightning from a standing start, is tricky and can finish or Holmsey 🤔

Not picking a team, its how we are playing that is the biggest issue.
Too deep, too quickly, too narrow and staying there too long.
Change that and we will do better, whoever plays.

I was hoping the extended break has given them a chance to put everything behind them while learning from it and holding themselves accountable. Both Schofield and Nicholls couldn't wait to talk about the Blackpool ghost goal in the presser. I'm not feeling optimistic that we're going to suddenly kick into gear to be honest, but let's hope I'm wrong.
At this point we just need a win. Even if we're still passing badly, with bad shape and organisation, a win would paper over the cracks and give them a chance to sort it out under less pressure. A home game at night against Lancashire opposition provided that win last season.

Be a tough game this Wigan haven’t started badly and their away record over the last season or so is very good. Huge game for Schofield lose and I see no way back for him I didn’t after the Blackpool game but think the goal that wasn’t given maybe saved him.

I think we’ll witness a good exciting display. The lack of injuries means we should have a few more options from the bench.
Town 3 Wigan 0.

With a virtually full strength squad to pick from I think this is going to be the crunch game for DS. If we lose then he will be shown the door although one thing that might save him is the fact Town will have to spend money to replace him. I actually think Town will win so his stay of execution will be held over for Saturday.

I think it will be Nichols Turton Lees Mbete KKH Yuta Hogg Rudoni Sorba Ward Anjorin
Personally I’d like to see a team that has helik mbete rudoni and kasumu in but not sure we can play them all.Would lend itself to a 4 at the back and either 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 but I think ideally he will now want to play helik lees and mbete which would mean a 3 at the back.Unless we went to a 3-5-2 but then where do sorba and anjorin fit in? Presuming won’t risk helik or kasumu tonight anyway as haven’t played much football for a while

Another home game I won't be able to get to, think I've seen one since start of season but hopefully get up on Saturday. Fingers crossed for a win, was a bit shocked yet not surprised to see where we were in table when I got back from holiday. I just couldn't be arsed to follow the results while I was away and didn't look at datm once. Wasn't aware we had signed anyone until I saw Helik and Mbete being mentioned in this thread. Easy to get out of touch.
