Don’t know who you are matey, but obviously an odious cretin. I am currently on palliative care for pancreatic cancer, and believe me I would wish this on no one, nor on anything that lives and breathes. Cannot believe that anyone would come out with a comment like that over a f*****g football game. I seriously hope that someone outs you matey, because the world is in a shitty enough place right now without a vile comment like that. Just pray that you don’t get the same problem during your life mate. Sorry to hear this, all the best mate and keep fighting

I know it's me about Holmes again but does anyone agree with Chicken that he was a 7/10 and level with Kasumu as Towns best player 😯😯😯 Yeah Duane was very good tonight...no wonder he smacked the dugout as he went to just seat...plenty more should have been hauled off before him. Having said that his replacement is exceptional...just not very fit Was that Big Bang, Holmes twatting the dug out? Impressive!

They both look like tidy enough players but if anyone swallowed the "Rudoni + Kasumu = O'Brien" bullshit, they must be fucking puddled. It might be right if we were allowed to play both for the 1 spot

Right, that’s definitely me done for starting match threads.
I suggest we bury the QPR thread and someone starts a new one when it’s re-scheduled.
I’m a fecking jinx…

Another directionless, disjointed performance against very limited opposition.
There was a short burst in the second half when we really got at them and the result could have been different. But we didn't take our chances and after Wigan went infront we never looked like equalising.
Some may say we were better in the second half and created enough chances to get a result. True, but we only really played well for part of the second half. And that is simply not enough.
Let's be honest here. Bristol City, Blackpool and Wigan were very limited teams, yet all have beaten us. Reasonably comfortably. That is really worrying. If we can't beat these teams, who can we beat? Who?
We have some decent players, and we are capable of isolated bits of good football, but we don't function as a team at all. Either defensively or in attack. We look like 11 strangers thrown together and playing for the first time. In short, we don't look a well-coached team.
I'm rarely one for calling for the manager/coach to go, but it's plain to everyone this isn't working.
I genuinely believe we have the players to avoid relegation, but they need new direction. And they need it now I'm afraid.

When are Refs going to grow some balls and book for blatant time wasting. Same for Town as well. It kills the game for the supporters, and seems to be getting far worse. Jeremy Simpson was an absolute disgrace today. Booked Thomas at half time for arguing with him, then several times in the second half he was surrounded by Wigan players and no cards shown... I can only hope that Thomas gave him a real zinger to provoke the booking. Something about him being fat and slow and utterly incapable of keeping up with play. Hopefully at the next international break, Sorba can learn a few Welsh insults that will go over any ref's head. Thomas will be very lucky to be involved with the Welsh squad at the next International break the way he is playing

A great 20 minutes. Game is 90.. We are likely to need to play forward with pace for longer. How we let a striker with the turning circle of an old london bus get a shot off defeats me. The first half was nothing..
Oddly poor for long periods but still could have won the game, I have to admit the way we are tactically playing long periods of games is dreadful.
We can play, we see it for periods so it has to be the methods and selections.
There I said it..

This lot think they can play well for 10 minutes a game & get away with it? Embarrassing stuff.
Sorba thinks he's made it but he'll be in for a shock when he doesn't make the world cup squad, hopefully it'll knock him down a peg or two.
Thought Kasumu looked decent considering he's only played about 5 minutes of football this season, just about the only positive today.
League 1 is a certainty unless something changes quickly.

I hate so many things about modern football, but 2 of the worst were on display all game today. That’s players from all sides who act like fucking big babies all game and pathetically weak refs who are shit scared of them. Simpson was letting Wigan do what they wanted from an early stage and when they saw what he was going to let them get away with, it wasn’t difficult to predict what would follow. It was so bad tonight that there could easily have been 20 minutes added at the end and he reffed the game like he didn’t know he could book players for time wasting!

Bristol we missed 2 sitters, hit the post and they broke and scored the 2nd which the keeper should save. Blackpool we scored or missed a sitter from a yard, whichever you want to say, and then another from Rhodes later (or I'm getting games mixed up?). Tonight we've missed 2 open nets, hit the bar and conceded the winner that the keeper should save. IMO we should have got at least a point from all those games as well as Birmingham away. It's not great, but I don't think any of them were comfortable.

Agree, but his performances all season haven't been up to much, but when team confidence is at a low ebb it really does effect everyone, even the better players.

Every time Jeremy Simpson refs at the JS its a shitshow . Blackburn , Blackpool last season and now this evening.
He let Wigan players bully him at every free kick awarded in particular captain Power. Last time a Wigan captain had a ref in his pocket like that was Ellery Hanley ! Don’t let Simpson performance takeaway the equally poor performance of Town for 70 minutes that was horrible , then when it looked Town would go onto win they fluffed their lines allowing Lang to turn and score like that was criminal. I don’t think Schofield knows what formation to play never mind what team to select. It’s poor at the moment very poor

Was Simpson the same ref that let one of our players lie unconscious for ages a couple of seasons ago?
Mad that he'd blow for Lees going down in the box whilst the ball was in for a cross - just a useless referee stealing a living.
How he can give a goalkeeper 7 warnings (yes, I was counting) and not book them, is pathetic.

As I said, Town can put some good football together and create chances. But these are isolated incidents. We are unable to sustain it for even a half, never mind a whole game. Which, as I said above, is simply not enough. When I said they won comfortably, I meant they saw the games out comfortably. Which they did.

The most telling thing for me tonight 2nd half was when Wigan players had been shot (the only explanation for them hitting the ground at such a rate) & Danny had a chance to call our lot over for a pep talk & some tactics, only half the team, on more than one occasion went over. This means that either he didn't call everyone over or some ignored him - either way a red flag for me that he has to go.
I heard someone say on the way out that we can't afford to sack him, I feel it is now at the stage that we can't afford not to. It is blatantly obvious that this team look totally confused, totally shot of any self confidence & totally lacking of the team spirit we clearly had last season. Giving Danny more time is not helping anyone, apart from other Championship clubs who will be fighting relegation.

Aside from a 10 minute spell that was utterly dreadful. We're actually getting worse, as opposed to showing signs of improvement. Ponderous, nervous and toothless, with no apparent gameplan. Opposition managers must be rubbing their hands in glee when they see a fixture against us coming up.
The only plusses for me tonight were Kasumu and Rudoni during the second half. Bringing in 18 year old Premier League youngsters to fill important gaps isn't a reliable strategy. Let's hope Luke gets Mbetter, and quickly. I'm writing Kesler-Hayden off even at this early stage. Surely we have better in the B-team?

Nicholls has been poor this season as he has nothing to prove and no competition for his place.
Last season we’d just signed him on a free and he’d hardly played the season before (yes I know it was contract related) so he had a point to prove that he was a championship keeper.
This season he doesn’t have that point to prove. Combined with no real competition for his place means that psychologically he’s not 100% at it as he was last season

Lees is a poor choice for captain as he isn't vocal enough to rally the troops.
