Going off tangent here and apologies if this has been asked elsewhere and I’ve not seen it but, was Schofield offered the chance to step back into coaching but rejected the offer and took the P45, or was he simply bulleted without the option? The latter seems harsh on someone who has given so much to the club; surely he could have been given a route back into coaching after the terrible hand given at short notice. That’s not to say removing him from the role was the wrong decision mind. Said it before this jobs for the boys mentality it’s a sickness within the club

I think the last sentence kind of implies he’s left the club. “ Everyone at the Club would like to thank Danny for his hard work and dedication and wishes him the very best for the future.”

If that is true we do seem overly obsessed with young managers. He’s only been there half a season.

So our only credible link is a guy who's only been in charge of 10 games in league 1?
This better not be true, we're 5 points adrift in the relegation zone, the last thing we need is another rookie right now.
Edit; He's actually been in charge for 38 games, won 21, lost 12. Still a rookie manager with no championship experience.

You are right, think at this point a bit of experience is needed, cant afford to keep losing games, ater all a fifth of the season has dwindled away.

I don’t doubt he’s doing a decent job, but it’s not much preparation for a Championship relegation battle.

Were you in a coma 5-6 years ago? Nope! Think about the respective journeys since he left us for a moment and forget what happened 5-6 years ago.

Quite certain he once scored the winner against us for Bradford City in about 2004, we lost 1-0 at home. Was a right goal.

On the ropes then they started falling down, feigning injury and timewasting and we lost all rhythm I've got to say they are the biggest bunch of pricks I've seen us play in years. Absolute anti football shit. I hope they go bust. They were time wasting after 30 minutes Yes they were and that’s because they’d seen how much the idiot in yellow was prepared to let them get away with. I don’t normally over criticise refs because they’ve so much to put up with modern players cheating but I completely lost it with that useless twat. Absolutely shit scared of the players and that has got to be one of the weakest refereeing performances in years.

When anybody mentions the name Schumacher. I automatically think of this bloke. Possibly the worst refereeing decision I've ever seen.

Possibly, but even then we could very easily have scored 4. wards miss from 5 yards was atrocious. Rhodes ( who looked very good I thought ) was so unlucky to smash it against the inside of the post, and Jones really should have scored but hit it straight at the keeper. And there were other chances aswell. The lack of confidence is an big issue. Losing becomes a habit just like NOT losing became one last season. But theres plenty in the squad for the new manager whoever he is to work with. This really isn't a squad that should be anywhere near the bottom IMO. Oh I realise we could easily have scored 4. But we didn’t and yet we concede two soft ones. Ends up another loss. Confidence is massively low. The new manager has plenty to work with but has a big job on his hands also. Lets not forget the 'miss of the match' was the header at 1-0 from a Wigan corner a couple of minutes into 2nd half that hit the post.......absolute Gobber!

It's pretty sad that most of us could see this coming back in July. Yep, and funny that those of us who did call it were accused of being 'entitled' and 'ungrateful' for daring to question the total whaff coming from DH's mouth. I wish I could say it feels good to have been right but it now means we have a mountain to climb.

You were called entitled because you feel entitled to a lot more of the owners money. I thought that was clear.

I don't feel entitled to a penny of the owners money, I feel it the owners duty to take the club as far forward as possible by appointing staff capable of achieving that. I knew that Schofield's appointment was contradictory to that, and that to continue to be competitive we would need to appoint a manager who would inevitably demand a higher wage. That's what you considered 'entitled', you were wrong then and you're wrong now.

No way!! He intended to hurt Battiston. There's no debate! Oh, I agree Schumacher intended what he did and had plenty of time to avoid him and actually jumps into him AFTER the ball has long gone, I was on about the ref saying he didn't see the extent of the foul as HE was tracking the ball.

But this isn't you feeling entitled to more of his money at all. Youre in no way being entitled because its his 'duty' to you. Schofields appointment was no different really to Wagners or Corborans in that it was a novice manager.. a 'cheap' option,, so presumably you knew they wouldn't be capable of taking the club forward aswell?
