Looks like he's leaving Rotherham, which comes as no surprise after his interview last week. Is it to come here though? Doesn't really fit with what Bromby was saying. I'd still be happy with him though.

I'd still be happy with him though. Rotherham fan I’ve been messaging on Twitter was adamant he’s on his way last week - starting to fall into place but Cardiff have sacked Morrison since and the guy just said he was definitely leaving Rotherham

If our ambitions only stretch as far as being a decent Championship side, then he might be ok, but I can't see Warne taking us any further than that.

I’d take him. Have a listen to the Moment Of Truth podcast on BBC Sounds.
Karl Robinson and Paul Warne are miked up. Robinson just gets irate, Warne speaks well and gets his point across.

I think that was someone on the wind up given how Warne has been quite outspoken against Derby in the past. Not sure their fans would be happy with that. Maybe he's going to replace Moore at the MASSIVE

Maybe he's going to replace Moore at the MASSIVE Ah didn’t realise that, someone tweeted it before the Talksport journo broke the news out of the blue which was interesting. No doubt he’s got a job lined up somewhere else.

wouldn't surpise me if it was cardiff, would love him here, good young manager who loves the game, passionate bloke who we need but after hearing what bromby said I doubt he will fit into his system sadly

'Largely successful' if you ignore the two relegations. Danny Schofield might one day be the next Paul Warne; 7 years younger, very similar playing career, first coach/manager's job aged 41/42 (and they had a season together at Yeovil).

Odds drifting to 6/4 pushing Wagner out to pretty much even money, nows the time put some money into Wagner if you're looking to.

Good bloke though as someone has already said listen to the podcast where he's miked up..interesting and REG gets mentioned in his loan spell.

It's not happening, he's off to Derby as others have said. My point was to back up what VLP said earlier in the thread that the bookies haven't clocked onto this yet. A few people have clearly backed Warne earlier and he is odds on for the Town job even though he's off to Derby. This has caused Wagner's odds to drift to 6/4 which if you think there's a 50% chance of it happening is good value. Once Warne gets announced as Derby manager, Wagner's odds will plummet to about 1/4.

I rate Warne, and wouldn't necessarily have objected to him coming here - but it was clear from Bromby's interview that he wasn't in the running. Which top coaches has he worked with?
More and more I'm leaning towards the Carrick, Barry, Lijnders type of appointment.

On the BBC now, he’s agreed to join Derby, one or two things to finalise but he’s off there

I have to say I'm pleased at that. We can do better than him. Like who ? The names previously mentioned. Apart from Wagner, up and coming young coaches like Barry, Carrick etc. Of course, they have no track record as yet but have worked with top managers/coaches and I feel they would be a better fit for what we are looking for. Warne might be a decent League One/Championship manager, but as with Robins who was mentioned a couple of months ago, I can't see him ever managing above this level.
