Let's just give the guy a chance, DATM gold. He's being given every chance by the bosses, I'm sure of it.
Personally, I think he's here for the long term to re-build the team, even if we sink to Div 3 as Sunderland, Portsmouth and many others have done. A few have come back up in far better shape, Fothers could probably do it well, given his background.
I also think there's a small chance that Wagner may be brought in as a consultant, or even DoF, and help him and the club recover.

Not long if he persists with a goalkeeper as bad as Nichols was yesterday I was livid with him as he walked off at halftime. And several others were too. Like a 10 year old. Trouble is we’ve got nobody to put any pressure on him.

Imagine if the people you worked with had this sort of poll when you just started your new job. It’s things like this that remind me that this site covers all ages… The poster who thinks it’s disrespectful to the fans is 39 years old would you believe Aww bless don’t you like an opinion that doesn’t match yours. In future tag me directly instead of being a coward. Also looking at my profile cos you don’t like what I’ve posted, get a life you sad fucker.

Long day and very expensive to see such a poor effort I used to go all over Turbo. Not these days. Good on you (and any other that travelled yesterday). And don’t give up travelling, keep the faith. The Club (and Fotheringham!) needs supporters like you.

My worry is that Narcis walks before he does Who clearly knew one of the main faults at Town has been defending, ok Cardiff were no world beaters but Chicho installed some basic no nonsense defending to achieve a clean sheet & a WIN ......take note MF. Did he though? Cardiff missed a penalty. 1 absolute sitter and Mbete slipping at the end nearly let them in. Luck got us a win V Cardiff.

Reckon irrespective of what happens including potentially being relegated this season, he will be here in 12 months time. We can’t afford to sack him having given him a deal to 2025. Again, wrong appointment at the wrong time. A strange appointment too, we were at least told with Siewart he was always going to be Wagner’s replacement, this appointment was a bolt out of the blue. Most had to google him to find out who he is! A real missed opportunity when you consider the other options out there. Having said that, this poll is a little disrespectful when he’s only been in charge for one game but I don’t see him turning things around. Very much hoping I’m proved wrong.

Unlikely, but with him being a total unknown you'd hope they've agreed a low cost agreement in the case of an early departure.

He should ideally have been given the job of caretaker for a few more games, see how it goes.
Most here would have flamed Hoyle and Bromby though for not getting a new appointment in place during the international break.

Fotheringham must have delivered one of the greatest interviews of all time to convince Bromby that it's a good idea to appoint him. The club is clearly on a relegation trajectory and to give the job to someone with no managerial experience is either genius or suicide.
Though the cynic in me says it's because he's the cheap option and that's about as far as the selection process went

This guy's mcdonaldesque!!
If anyone honestly thinks this guy has what it takes at this level of football you are seriously deluded!!
Would we have lost 3-1 yesterday and played like that with narcis still caretaker manager??
Absolutely not!!
He knows fuck all about the players and achieved nothing yet gets a job at a top championship club!!...the mind boggles
We're in league one next season down to Dean and bromby!!

When you think how important this appointment was, especially to Brombys future it does seem insane that he has employed someone who; Has never been a manager Is an unknown to the vast majority of championship fans, players and pundits. Has come to his first job on his own! Was basically an out of work assistant.
At least with a Carrick or Barry you could look it and clearly see that they have played a key role in English football and the English elite. This just seems like we needed a new family home and have settled for a room in a travelodge. Really bizarre.

Not the dust has settled, i honestly believe that this is the worst appointment for a Town manager in all my 56 yrs of watching Town. I always say, give the man a chance but this appointment is mind numbing to say the least he is not the man for this club, without a doubt he will take this club down.

1 game in and a poll like this, don't really know what Town fans expect, the tone is set now for how the club is going to be run.

I can understand league 1/2 clubs taking this route,,but a championship club that has been in 2 playoff finals in the Last 5 years is absolute crazy!! 'You don't know what you're doing' Will be ringing out next Saturday He even spoke about the playoffs in his interview...it will be my 5th on the bounce if we do!!! ...total disrespect of the division like its so easy It's soon to be the end of the hoyle era! For all he loves and has done for the club he hasn't got a clue about hiring a good manager and lives in this crazy bubble obsessed with german football,,and all you have to do is hire a second in command and that's it!!..hey presto success!! Time for a change at the Top

Time for a change at the Top Have to agree with some of the points you make there, its not really about the board now for the short term future, it needs to happen on the pitch and quickly, every supporter will realise that. Massive 10 games in 6 weeks coming up, by then we will probably know in some way what position we stand in to retain our championship status.

It could just have been that at the moment we just couldn't get him back. MF does worry me, too early to make a definitive assessment of him yet though. He has got the job purely based on how he has interviewed which is a concern. However, you never know. Hope he does possess some managerial talent that just isn't blatantly obvious.

Of course I dearly want it to work out for ma fellow Scot Mark Fotheringham and any Huddersfield Town boss football from John o’ Groats to Timbuktu but sometimes HTAFC put lots of faith in young managers / coaches - Foddy is 38, Siewart was even younger I think, and Carlos was young as well...
I think (in fact I know) that The Championship is one of the most unforgiving Leagues in the world and maybe a club with a smaller budget like Town could have been looking at an older head with more experience perhaps...
However Mark Fotheringham it is and he’s only in the door and we must back him as best as we can for now and the next few months at least...
By giving him a three year deal, it’ll cost plenty if they have to pay him off, either that or they want him here even if we heaven forbid are relegated, but anyway onwards and upwards for Mark and HTAFC !

This disrespectful poll doesn't deserve to have people believe it merits 30 pages of discussion. Not in the vicinity of being impressed by MF but this poll plain and simply isn't fair.
