“We want a top-quality coach and a leader who will get the best from our talented squad; someone who is not only capable of making the team better as a collective and developing individuals, but who is also aligned with our Club philosophy to be brave, progressive, and not set any limitations on what is possible or can be achieved." Defo Wagner, been training since a kid for this moment. Now, listen to the clue: It'll be electric when Cliff Richard is wired for sound. The black cat says the possibilities won't last for long. But your arm might get sore whilst you're waiting for a cab" You're going for Dusty Bin? Let's see if you're right... Listen again - Cliff Richard is wired for sound. What does Cliff Richard like? That's right: Young Boys. The black cat has how many lives? Correct, it's nine. And he says that the possibilities are finite; there are limits. In other words, nein limits. What do you do when you put your arm in the air? You call for a cab, exactly, Susan. What else...? You Heil Hitler. And who was Hitler's favourite composer? That's right, it's Richard Wagner. You've rejected David Wagner as the next Town manager. Terribly unlucky, and what a fantastic game you played. Give them a big round of applause. (And if you think that's far-fetched, that's nothing compared to the actual "clues")

I only got as far as Young Boys and burst out laughing. Will now read the rest. Great stuff.

A 12 month rolling contract would be fine by me. If it was DW and he leaves for a bigger club then that would probably mean we'll be still in the Championship and doing pretty well to boot. At the moment we're heading for league 1 I can't see any way Wagner would be leaving for a bigger club, bearing in mind his record since leaving us. Might be wrong but I don't picture him at home at the moment just sat there turning clubs down. I wouldn't have thought his recent record makes him that employable.

I can’t wait to hear about how he’s Klopp’s mate again.
Ad infinitum.

I've no doubt he doesn't have many clubs chasing him given his record post Town. This, given our link with him puts us in a position of strength. Give him a 12 month rolling contract and see where we end up. At the very least the atmosphere in the ground would improve

(And if you think that's far-fetched, that's nothing compared to the actual "clues") I also note that The Metal Store have extended the partnership with Town, the first letter of Wagner is W which is the chemical symbol for the metal Tungsten and the next two letters Ag are the chemical symbol for silver which is also a metal - spooky eh? This must be another massive clue from the club who our next manager will be - the spirit of Ted Rogers is alive and well

This is a coded video to say Dave is already on a scouting mission looking to bolster our offensive capabilities…

At the moment we're heading for league 1 I just can't see Dean going for that. If it's Wagner on a short-term or someone who can still keep us up but will stick around I think he'll go for the latter. Can see us appointing Paul Warne.

Wagner is a football manager by trade and he's out of work, having been dismissed from his last two jobs. Given that, I suspect that any half-decent job offer will interest him.

Wagner will most likely come to Huddersfield however it all depends on whether Bromby is willing to step back and allow David to have full control of transfers. If Bromby doesn't allow this then Wagner won't come. This is one of the reasons Corberan left, it was a policy the hierarchy weren’t going to shift on. I’d fully expect Wagner to want the same but will Hoyle & Bromby change their philosophy? 🤔

Most of our managers have been on 12 month rolling contracts. Then if they prove their worth they get a longer deal… and then they walk out on it anyway.

i just want Christophe Bhule arms crossed doing absolutely nothing I believe it's called physical presence. Correct , it is . I've done it for the last 40 years where I work . It's very similar to having your hands in your pockets , but slightly more professional . I've found wearing a pair of work gloves does the trick too , it gives the appearance you're actually busy doing something..

i just want Christophe Bhule arms crossed doing absolutely nothing One of the delights of when they were last here. The calming assurance of Wagner and Buehler on the touchline. ( until the explosion of energy when we score) How we need this now.

Other than that, I would happily take 1 nill wins and heavy metal football

Just get the feeling a lot of us will be underwhelmed when we announce our new coach. Bromby still reading off the same song sheet going by his statement today. Yes Wagner would be great imo, but I just don’t think our owner has that ambition anymore. “We want a top-quality coach and a leader who will get the best from our talented squad; someone who is not only capable of making the team better as a collective and developing individuals, but who is also aligned with our Club philosophy to be brave, progressive, and not set any limitations on what is possible or can be achieved." Part of Brombys statement today. My interpretation of that was David Wagner Agree. He must have known when he said those words people they would be interpreted / linked to Wagner (me included) - they seen a deliberate choice of words, I can hear Wagner say those words (with an addition of being a small but aggressive dog which Wagner can get away with but would sound daft coming out of Bromby…!)

We’d have a strategy and a style with the additional benefit being that Hoggy his rock on the pitch is still at the club.

tbh I don't care who comes in the sort this crisis out...but if it is Wagner then DH has got to back him financially...no ifs, no buts..and hopefully Buhler will come too, and Schindler as a coach, and hefele as a coach...yah ! Can we have Lynn W back doing social media stuff as well ? Doesn't she work for German media now? Or is that her sister?

imagining Dave's classic 4-2-3-1 with our current players and salivating a bit. There's no Mooy equivalent, but everything else is there.

Nicholls Turton Lees Helik Nakayama Kasumu Hogg Sorba Tino Rudoni Rhodes Sub Keeper Ward Holmes Mbete Jones Russell Kesler Hayden 3 behind Rhodes can interchange, I'd play Rhodes purely for the goal threat he offers - that team playing Wagner's way in the early days will soon move up the table.

I like Kasumu as being the more advanced of the two, that initial press and winning the ball back higher up the pitch, with Hoggy doing what he does deeper. Worry is Kasumu won’t be anywhere near Mooy’s level on the ball, so we’d have to change the style to suit that.
