The outrage about to commence if it’s not Wagner on Twitter and DATM will be incredible. Popcorn at the ready

if it were someone who had experience and who knew the game then things would be ok.
This Fotheringham guy would be a massive statement that we're going to be playing league one football next season.

Cannot in a million years see us going for someone underwhelming as it is critical the club gets the fans back onside. It's already toxic and getting someone in that isn't proven/a fan favourite would create an apathy that would be hard to remove. I’d suggest that many on here are hanging their hats (and placing their wedge) on it being Wagner. If it is anyone else, almost certainly going to be underwhelming. There will definitely be some beds need the sheets changing if it isn't him 🤣🤣🤣

At this moment in time it looks like a fair few fans will be slightly underwhelmed Do you mean slightly unwhelmed or do you mean absolutely livid? 😂 More livid tbh The current front runners are laughable.

I said before It wasn’t happening but now I can say 100% it isn’t DW coming back.
Expect an announcement on the new manager if not tomorrow then Tuesday, it is a risk I think but possibly another brave move a little like when we appointed DW first time around.

100% agree re the Brighton game, we were on another level. I've said ever since that night that nobody in the league could have lived with us in the first half of that game. It was arguably the best 45 minutes I've seen us play. Incredible performance and totally agree. Probably the best 45 mins I’ve ever seen. Was it a Thursday night as well??? A performance to cherish.

What will be will be.
Sadly, he won’t be given much of a honeymoon period by the fans and I can’t see many reinforcements coming in January.
If Hoyle messes another appointment up by falling for the ‘promising young coach’ spiel on a man who doesn’t deliver it should be the last appointment he ever makes.

Same sort of experience as DW and Carlos had when they came to us. Lightning can strike three times. Alternatively, we can wait for Steve Bruce to become available.

Hoyle backed Wagner Hodgkinson backed Carlos.
Schofield & Siewart weren’t backed.
Maybe that is the real lesson?

The hints on here would suggest it's the guy no one had heard of until a few hours ago. Must have something about to him to convince Dean Hoyle to go for it. Its a bit of a step down from his first choice of DW.

I would think only the cat will be happy with the appointment.

Sounds like someone the players will play for. Not!! We need a name, someone who commands respect. Not another nobody!

He couldn’t be more Adam Ant

Got that same feeling when we promoted schofield to the top job if it is this Scottish lad.
Rather leave Chicho in charge.

However bad it was we did not and I stress DID NOT sleepwalk to relegation! We appointed Jan Siewert..... ....& perhaps more importantly didn't sack him after Tottenham.... ...leaving a problem that lasted into the following season.... I'm struggling to agree with you TBH....

at Skybet Fotheringham just went from 5/2 to 6/4 in the last few minutes and Wagner out to evens

Nothing was worse to be honest, purely because pretty much every game I aged 20 years because of the nerves while trying to hold onto a 1 goal lead every game. Admittedly I'm not being serious about it basically being terrible, but I'm sure I actually have a few grey hairs already because of that season I actually thought we looked exceptional at holding onto those one goal leads. Never felt like we were in great danger of conceding most games we were leading We did look comfortable generally although it's a risky business.I also wondered why we didn't go for the second goal because I'd say we'd have got it more often than not.

Felix Magath, by any chance. Oooo good shout, wouldn’t be against that. He's 70, absolute zero chance he's moving to Huddersfield Town at this stage of his career/life. It'll be Fotheringham
