Felix Magath, by any chance. Oooo good shout, wouldn’t be against that. Fotheringham has been Magaths assistant.

Oooo good shout, wouldn’t be against that. He's 70, absolute zero chance he's moving to Huddersfield Town at this stage of his career/life. It'll be Fotheringham Well if it is without an experienced assistant feels laughable.

Sounds like someone the players will play for. Not!! We need a name, someone who commands respect. Not another nobody! Well to be fair, in Wagner’s first half season in charge the players won’t have heard of him and they played for him. I don’t think it is the be all and end all that they are a ‘name’. They just need to be a strong character and have a style and philosophy the players can buy into

That is a lot more to buy into for a squad of players.

They bought into it and brought everyone along with them. I don't think he was lucky as such, he identified them as key individuals, got them onside and used them to help build the spirit. Less lucky and more good man management.

So the Wagner comeback has finished it's looking that way if the betting odds are a signifier but on the other hand - Fotheringham must have given an impressive interview. Lol, got mixed feelings about that impression tbh.

So the decision has been made who it will be? Yes, actually all agreed and done. Lots won’t be too pleased, but it could be a real shrewd appointment but it’s risky if you ask me. I would think only the cat will be happy with the appointment. Felix the cat ?

Do you mean slightly unwhelmed or do you mean absolutely livid? 😂 More livid tbh The current front runners are laughable. If it is to be this Fotheringham character, then that is seriously underwhelming. The club will trot out the old “we see potential” mantra here but most won’t be convinced. Have to wait and see but the guy’s got a big, big, job on his plate convincing both the fans and players he can do a job.

I was a little ambivalent about the potential return of DW, I wasn't sure lightening could strike twice and didn't want his legacy tarnished, but given the rumours of who is likely to take over I would love the return of DW.
The problem is many where hoping/expecting his return and anything less will be seen as a let down or, even worse, a sort of betrayal/lack of ambition.
I don't know how close, if at all, DW was to returning but anything less, for some, will be seen as a bad decision too far. The truth maybe he was never coming but the perception will be that DH/LB couldn't/wouldn't make it happen.

So yesterday morning Wagner was 1/10 and now he’s 5-1.
What has happened in 24hrs???

It's beginning to feel like this job is one that will have zero appeal to anyone we fans actually want. If that is true, and it certainly feels like it, Dean only has himself to blame. If he couldn't convince Wagner to come back I'm not sure anyone with any kind of reputation or track record will come.
