Mumbai is just average in my opinion. I’ve had worse curry’s, I’ve had better curry’s. The lads waiting on you are spot on though. |

It'll be time for the World Cup break by the time we have stopped pissing about. I suspect too many decent experienced managers are put off by having to work in the straightjacket of Bromby's system and would want more freedom than this system permits.

I’m a huge admirer of David Wagner, and I hope he gets the job. He is a great communicator, and he now has the benefit of wider experience (however mixed the results).
My one concern is that, like anyone else and despite what I’ve said about his communication skills, he was prone to contradictory messaging. The radical ‘no limits’ Wagner was the one I loved. The ‘don’t think that the extraordinary is ordinary’ Wagner gave me some concern. It fed into the ‘little Huddersfield’ underdog narrative that grew around us and which was then amplified by the media and even by much of our own fanbase. I don’t think clubs like Bournemouth or Burnley have done this. I’m hoping that either David is now aware of the potential damage such thinking can bring, or that someone advises him on that. Realistically, we are not a big club but neither are we a small one that should know its place.
