We represent the cheapskate approach to championship football…. If Hoyle has to put 5m in of his own money as a top up per season, let’s work this one out financially.
If Hoyle is worth 300m The average return of a wealth portfolio is about 7% So 7% of 300 = 21m per year in his pocket minus 38% dividend tax = 13m
And he puts 5m in. Not skirting him is it…. Even after that he’s 8m per year UP.
he can do what he wants with his cash but don’t cry the poor tale to me Dean.

DATM sinks lower by the day. We're bottom of the league, it's a shitshow. We get it, we're all pissed off, but no need to act like bloody teenagers... And no, I'm not a happy clapper, just someone who thinks all the shit on here means it'll become a self fulfilling prophecy. Jeez, it's not as though we haven't been relegated before... (not that we are yet) But still...gotta laugh ain't ya It'll be what it will be as they say. We're a shitshow, but very rarely do the supporters influence the boardroom decisions. Why would they, football supporters are absolute headcases and short termists... If the supporters start voting with their feet, the players might realise their future contracts might be worth a bit less.

75% if the customers want a change. Will he listen ? Yes. A self made millionaire is going to listen to a lemon from Kirkheaton who spends his time creating polls on a message board.

The club has long since stopped listening to fans. That isn’t necessarily a negative thing, I like many others wanted Carlos gone after season one. The only things that will influence them is the table, the cost of the sacking and what is going on behind the scenes.

The way things are going ,giving him until the World Cup break would mean we will be relegated (I’m 90% sure we will drop anyway) but we need to give ourselves a chance , we need a change an an actual MANAGER!!

We were always gonna end up bottom, with Coventrys games in hand. It was grim the last few games though. Anyway I do like going to Exeter and Plymouth. Up to Borough this weekend. It's a far one for me but it's what I do. I cannot stop going and just hope that our players get together and start playing as we all know they can. I do feel it's far too early to change the manager and again am not afraid of the drop. Been there and done it enough times, so whatever. Last season at Borough was a blast, I just hope this will be too. It's a funny old game and our team needs our full vocal support. Let's just back them to the hilt at least for a couple of games and see. No blasting the young uns on the pitch, get behind them or we really could be on a very slippery slope right down again. See you all Saturday TTID

the moment we hit bottom, MF and LB should have been sacked. LB had one job and fecked it up spectacularly.

who would have thought there would be a thread like this within a month of his appointment?!!!. Thing is quite a few of us were concerned about us taking this risk It's very naive to think you can keep bringing in unknown coaches and having success No manager ever pulls it around once the rot has set in....how this fella talks is embarrassing...I'm gonna stress the players in training.... ...stress is not good He won't survive defeat on Saturday...which I think we will get well and truly stuffed Saturday he,s gone!! Bromby soon to follow

Bromby soon to follow Think it be a big percentage who thought it was a a big risk, myself included, especially the length of the contract, I'm not confident about the result on Sat either, even less so after what mBoro did last night, mentioned on another thread it's the 1st time I've ever dreaded a game, been nervous about some but never dreaded 1. The results could not have gone worse last night, 1 thing we can all be sure off the club is in a mess and somehow the players need to pull a rabbit out of the hat on saturday.

75% if the customers want a change. Will he listen ? The poll has 91 votes in total. How is any ratio within that, 75% of a 25k plus "customer" base?

Why would they, football supporters are absolute headcases and short termists... If the supporters start voting with their feet, the players might realise their future contracts might be worth a bit less. I agree, daft polls like this do no good at all but I have started voting with my feet. Been a season ticket holder since forever but I haven’t seen us play live since the Cardiff win on September 17, not because I couldn’t be bothered but that I had better alternatives. I thought the appointment of Fotheringham was a shocker and nothing that has happened in the interim has made me think otherwise. Danny I could just about get, continuity and all that, but I still said it was a cheap option. It may well be I don’t get to see Fotheringham in the flesh as a comprehensive defeat on Saturday might see him gone but I’m going to the Millwall and Sunderland games whatever. Gareth Ainsworth was on the Sky Sports panel last night and he is being linked with the QPR job, we should have been looking at someone like him after dismissing DS. As it is, I feel only a Warnock type will keep us up now. Somebody stated earlier that Palace sacked DeBoer after only 6 games because the board there could see it wasn’t working. We need the bottle to do the same thing here and not let the situation drift. The board made another gigantic cock-up, it happens but the situation isn’t irretrievable if they act fast. And I don’t want to hear talk of a return to League 1. As it is, that’s where we’re meekly heading to but we’re only in the middle of October! If we drop to League 1 as a result of bad decisions and ineptitude, all of our own making, crowds will drop significantly and we may end up in a cycle.

It,s not that we hit the bottom spot,it,s the manner in which it happened,Coventry beat promotion favourites Sheffield United to put us there. We have failed against sides around us in the league.

We if we in league 1 next year, chances are Dean won't get any where near the money he wants if he is to sell. So I guess he will be here next year cutting the budgets even more, which is slightly worrying

Not one of town players looked championship quality on Wednesday which made matters far worse
We seem to have signed alot of lower league quality players who seem to be showing lower league form thus one reason why we are bottom of the league
The club dont seem to have any ambition under Hoyle and we must remember that the ever rising Hoyle club debt muse "SOMEHOW " be paid back
Feel relegation would be a disaster in ticket sales and shame when alot of season tickets have been sold this season

Whether that's good enough to stay up though is anyone's guess.

Fotheringham v. Truss.
Who will be first to get the boot?!
Town v. Tory Government.
Which will be first to be relegated?!

Have we ever been in the bottom three positions in a season more than 10 games and not been relegated? dont think so, its hard to get out of once you are in there, last nights scores put the icing on it, lets hope the club realise this now and try to ammend it.

This is just a polite reminder to stop creating unnecessary repetitive threads regarding our current situation, they only serve to clog the board. I will post this in a number of threads.

In that case can you add the transfer stuff back in the main board so we don't have to fanny about toggling two boards whenever that is a topic of interest?

When you appoint a inexperienced person in a crucial position in an organisation, you get rid When you have an inexperienced person incharge of day to day dealings, you get rid Just look at what's developed over the last week in Westminster. It's time for those at the top to take accountability and remove the inexperience and poor performing individuals. And take drastic action to sort this mess out or the club won't just suffer relegation, it will lose a generation of fans, the crowds will disappear and the finances, well if they think it's bad now DH has forgotten how tough it was in league one

When I was at school, circa 1979, hardly anyone followed Town. You were ridiculed. My dad used to laugh at me going on a Saturday.

There's an option to get rid of just Bromby but if we only get rid of one, it should be Fotheringham.
But yes, for all that I think Bromby has been underappreciated, it might be time for him to go too.
Personally I'd give him one more go at choosing a replacement head coach, and it's astonishing how quickly his stock has fallen since summer, but an unbalanced squad and 2 head coach failures in quick succession (and the second one looking worse than the first) ain't a great addition to the CV.
If our Scottish Fuckwit is still in post when the World Cup kicks off then I hope we have a January Sale. Get rid of our best players for whatever we can get while they're still plying their trade in the Championship. Otherwise we're trying to give them away in the division below.
If getting rid of The Poundland Mike Bassett means losing Bromby as well, so be it. Do it today.
