I'm expecting a score draw, which means we probably need to score first...

Slapps - are you going to this one? A bit of an easier journey for you.

Boro will tonk us on Saturday unfortunately , all will be out to impress Carrick (who we should have gone for) Best tactic - for me - is to play experienced full backs down the flanks to stop their wing backs dominating with energetic support in front . Oh and bring back Jonny fucking Hogg too. He’s not injured and he’s easily the best midfielder at the club. 4-5-1 with two sitting centre mids and two wingers that will need to sit in to a back 6 at times. We need to focus on being hard to beat again. Nichols Turton Lees Helik Nakayama Thomas Kasumu Hogg Rudoni Holmes Rhodes In his presser today MF insisted that he IS injured and has trained only once. Also denied a bust-up. Where's the chinny reckon poster when you need him

Given the massive negativity on here towards MF, whether justified or not this site will go into complete meltdown if we actually won tomorrow

Town to win 1-0 Danny Ward with a second half goal.
Jubilant scenes across an emptyish away end.

A heavy defeat, Boro fans loving it, it getting ugly from our lot, still anchored to the bottom of the table come 5pm. The only bright spot is it should be dry and fine. Good luck to all those going. Complete opposite to last season then? Apart from it being fine and dry.

Unfortunately the turning point of this season was when Carlos was not allowed to bring in the players he wanted. Unless there is a dramatic turn in our fortunes, and I must say I cannot see from where, we are looking at League One next season. My question would be just who was Carlos interested in? My bet is that it was a left back and a midfield general.

Going tomorrow. Day out. Support the team. I know a Wrexham fan through work and he is extacic a moment and has been travelling all over the country this season. Anyone swap places- and before anyone laughs we have played Wrexham in league games and lost

17 town fans on the space cakes. I voted for a win earlier in the week purely out of blind optimism and a hint of rebelliousness after the defeats against PNE & Millers, no space cakes involved but as the game gets closer I now genuinely think we might win. The championship is a great league and hopefully we can get a result tomorrow. Thought we were on top against Rotherham until they scored and then our 3 subs didn’t really improve us. Was fed up after PNE game especially after conceding from another back post header, but surely we can’t keep conceding the same goal!? At some point Rhodes will take some of the chances he’s missed in the last 2 games, hopefully we can keep a clean sheet and we can all get back to supporting the team instead of ripping the club to shreds!! Looking forward to the trip to Boro and no I have not been drinking or smoking……. UTT

Carlos wanted Carlton Morris and to sign Daniel Sinani on a long term deal.
He also wanted to keep Naby Sarr and go again for Levi Colwill. None of that was granted so he went.
Not a lot to ask for.
He definitely didn't want Mahoney.

I’m off to the game today, praying for a performance and a win but reckon we will get battered. Got a funny feeling that Hogg might be in the away end , with him being from Middlesbrough and living 10 mins away from it if he is there will he lead the chant that says we want Fotheringham out 😂

Only six miles for me, and for the first time for a number of these occasions, I simply can't be arsed. Waste of money for the ticket, especially as I can walk to Stockton v Bridlington game, get in on my season card, drink beer and walk home. Oh and I forgot to add, they might actually win. ( Couple of blip defeats last two games, but still top of table, though Brid are 6th I think. Not an easy game.)

I like my non-league football, having said that, I am overdue another trip to Ossett United and typical they are away today. And Liversedge are too. Would have liked a local non-league match today.

Not a bad set up. It's at the 6th form college. Not a real pitch, but the fake ones have improved considerably from what I remember them as. Seems to be give in them now, get a puff of dust at tackles or when the ball hits sometimes. Decent bar before the match, and of course you can take drinks in with you, even bloody dogs. ( I've got one, but taking it to footie?...no don't think I'll bother) It's actually my first season, £105 for the year, a price I can't even get to Town for one game for, well not if I'm staying over, which drinking usually makes a necessity. Started the season with 8 wins in a row, followed by a draw and two defeats. There is parking for cars, plenty for current levels of support, as most folks walk anyway. Quite near modern newish housing estates, who aren't too keen on the sudden increase in support they've had the last few years, let alone the fact that the different levels and age groups are using the pitch every night. The council have been looking into other areas in case success increases, plenty of land down Portrack with better access from A19 seems to be the preferred option if ever needed. Hope this helps. Not been to any non league before this season, so no real idea what to compare it with. Search Stockton FC on Facebook and there are videos of the goals, and ground etc.

He definitely didn't want Mahoney. If that’s all true why was the Boyle transfer rumoured so early ? Even a great tactician like Carlos couldn’t do anything with Boyle. Must have been Bromby doing his own thing.

The team I would go for.
Nichols Turton lees Helik Jackson Russell (OBvs hoggy if fit ) Thomas kasuma Holmes Mahoney Rhodes
Subs Kkh Bilo Ward Camara Ruffels Rowe Yuta
Pack the midfield and hope we sneak one from a set piece.

I've watched them a couple of times this season, they were awful. A full strength team could easily get something there but with the players we have available I'll be happy with a point

Not been to any non league before this season, so no real idea what to compare it with. Search Stockton FC on Facebook and there are videos of the goals, and ground etc. Thanks Rubicon for the thorough insight. There is a certain ‘charm’ to the non-league experience. Crowds over recent seasons for non-league matches (even going down the levels) have increased and there is a good reason for that. When you watch football, you want honesty and commitment from the Players. Very rarely do you not get that when watching non-league (lack of ability sometimes, yes!). You only have to think of the shit that has had the audacity to take a big wage from Town over recent seasons to understand why fans at some Clubs have swapped their overpaid, couldn’t give a shit Players at the Club they have historically supported for the local non-league Team down the road.
