The more I think about this, the more I have convinced myself that JDT is the new man. It all adds up. Am going to be disappointed now if it isn't.

Tell you what, i’m normally a glass half empty type, but i’m getting a little excited about this squad when the injured players come back.
Nichols hasn’t done enough to get a move. Helik is the best in the league, the new centre half looks very good, Headley is going to be worth some money and i love Pearson.
Wiles hasn’t shown it yet but i still think he’s a player and Rudoni would only get better in a good team.
Sorba and Koroma still have time to be top players. The 2 striker and Delano are a bit of an unknown but i think we are going to be a very good team next season.

I'm hopeful we might just get to see Burgzorg this week - maybe only on the bench, but having him around would be a big lift. Hopefully Headley not far off either. We'll listen with great interest to the press conference today. |

Played 2/3 games and out for 2 months. I’m not saying other teams don’t have injury problems but FFS how unlucky is that. Town have paid good money for a striker and you expect him to be fit. Who do you think you are? Remember it's a Town fan's right to demand a striker every transfer window so it would be boring if one window were to completely rob us of it. |

Looking a lot stronger now than a few weeks ago.
Going by the press conference the only injured players are
Turton - remainder of the season
Ruffles - remainder of the season
Healey - 6 weeks
Headley - 2-3 weeks
Helik - Back at the weekend or week after??
Ward & Burgzorg on the bench tonight or weekend

Would be great to see Burgzorg on the pitch at some point tonight. He’s been a huge miss for us, and he doesn’t alter the dynamic of the front line if he’s alongside Thomas and Koroma.

You'd think one of our many coaching/fitness staff would think...hmm he's not played many games, let's get him fully trained first..? What did we pay for him £1m ? £2m ?? it's just one f*ck up after another with players being out for months..or 6 weeks in this case, missing half our remaining games... |

You could see he was struggling before he stretched into the challenge that forced him off. The medical staff should have been hauling him off for his own good. It's frustrating. A tweaked groin and you're talking about a week or two. A pull or a tear and it's much longer. I don't blame him for wanting to impress, but something should have happened before he made an injury worse. That being said, if Danny Ward is fit enough for the bench once again that offsets that injury, at least until he tweaks his achilles again. |
