The real positives tonight: 1. We won away from home for the first time this season and, 2. To do that, we came from behind. I think we're the only team in CL not to have back-to-back victories this season, great time to put that right this Saturday.........hope the lads have something left in the tank, let's go again..UTT.

Thought Boyle had a minging first 10-15 but he was a beast once we went ahead.
Fair play to MF who got the tactics spot on tonight. Play any higher and QPR get in behind with ease as they have some tricky individuals with pace, and their passing was slick and crisp. Right idea to fill the box with bodies and let them shoot from range. They may have had 36 shots, and I'm sure the pundits will focus on that, but 35 were from 25 yards because that's the only option we gave them. They had 71% possession because we had no intention of coming out to play once we were ahead.
An almost perfect away performance 👏👏

Really pleased for Boyle and hope he can keep his form up. Colossal tonight alongside Helik. I've criticised his signing, but in terms of ability he looks to be on par with Matty Pearson - who I think had only played one season at Championship level when he arrived?

Name me a weaker squad in the championship than that I'll wait That weak squad won an away game, yet you seem unable to shower anything like as much praise on them as the ordure which you continually spout. Do you have issues with the club/team? I’d really like to know why you are unable to praise anyone or anything about Town.

Thanks for posting this. Incredible goal. Superb. I missed it in real time as the coverage on the red button was frozen.

thought Rhodes could have held the ball up a bit better for us...relieve some of the pressure...(just to add a small negative to this joyous evening) Goodness me detox - Ward and Rhodes are like chalk and cheese - tonight Rhodes held the ball up, drew fouls and never stopped running. I wish he'd get the chances that Danny Ward does !

I've been critical of our use of the ball tonight but, my God, we didn't half defend our box well tonight. Got bodies in the way, got our heads and feet in where it hurts to block shots/crosses and Nicholls was superb when called upon.
A really heroic performance in the face of almost incessant pressure.
The lads will sleep tonight.

All about the result tonight! Away at a top 6 team with a whole starting 11 (other than our keeper) missing (see below), then that is a huge effort by the lads.
Turton. Pearson. Lees. Nakayama
Kasumu. Hogg. Camara
Jones. Anjorin Simpson
We earned a bit of luck tonight for how much we wanted it.
Nothing but praise from me for their character - a tough spell and not pretty but big 3 points. It’s hard at the moment but the young lads will benefit hugely from matches like tonight and ultimately make our squad stronger for it.
Bring on Saturday! UTT

Do you have issues with the club/team? I’d really like to know why you are unable to praise anyone or anything about Town. Some people prefer the team to fail than succeed. They enjoy it more as it gives them an excuse to vent their spleen. Allows them to give it the big 'told you so' about all the players they've slagged off as being shit. If the players they've slagged off as being shit actually do well, they just lose interest and stop posting.

Didnt see any of the game because my red button wouldn't work, but sounds like a great away performance. Showed great spirit not folding after going behind so early,,battled back into the lead and defended extremely well from then on in.
Very pleased for Will Boyle. Sounds like he had another impressive game. No idea why so many decided he was crap before he'd even had a chance to do anything.

To be fair to Fotheringham, yes we've been lucky, but to get this lot to even be in with a shout of winning this game he must be doing something right on the training ground and in the changing room. May I disagree? Every single bugger out there gave their all. Some were better than others and we made mistakes, but that looked like a team with half a plan, who got lucky, and then defended with minimal fuss. I wasn't worried at all in the second half. Job done. Three points. Regarding the players giving their all and the team spirit that's what I was referring to with Fotheringham, how easy would it have been for them to give up? Was it about 76 seconds in 1-0 down, bottom of the league and away to one of the better sides in the league, not won away all season, but they dug in and scrapped for everything. They give a shit, they didn't look like that before. The "footballing" performance was crap, but we worked with what we had. Over half that team had less than 60 appearances at this level between them and we had 3 full backs on the pitch and no natural central midfielder.

Watched the match and I've got to applaud the team and MF that was a titanic effort well done. Ruffles was quality QPR had plenty of chances but a bit of luck and a MOM performance by Nicholes got us the win. Well done

It's good that we'll be heading in to the break not completely cut adrift. Gives everyone something to focus on during that time as we've a lot of winnable games coming up, especially in January and February. Must get some players back for then and hopefully a couple of signings

Brilliant win for Town (I predicted a 3-0 defeat) shows what I know. could this be the start of a much needed revival , win on Saturday and we could be on our way. Well done Town and MF.

Makes a change good honest interview by QPR manager. Wow! He comes across brilliantly. What a refreshing change. Can you imagine Nathan Jones under those circumstances?! Great performance. Low on quality (apart from the goals), but the team dug in and won ugly. Considering the number of young lads thrown in together and going behind so early on, it was an incredible three points and very welcome. The fear was being cut adrift before the World Cup. At least the break gives us a chance to get some players back and almost a mini pre-season to work on stuff. We’ve half a chance with that sort of spirit!

One thing that absolutely stands out is how much these players are running and trying. At times we had 3 of the front line chasing down their defenders.
Well done players and management you should be commended for that performance.

He’s given manager, coaches and players more respect than a lot of their own supporters on this forum do. That’s football I guess.

He also lost possession more than he gained, but it's a bit churlish to criticise too much after the win. Agree about Ward though. Is this training too much for them I wonder.

Fair and honest assessment that, despite his obvious disappointment found time to give credit to town manager and players. That should boost our morale a bit and hopefully now the bar has been set we'll see more effort like that.

Backs to the wall for most of the game, good resilience through out and a special mention to Nicholls who looked back to his best. The game reminded me a lot of forest away last season, especially second half. Make it count on Saturday, Town.

A lack of structure and ability has been the main issue

Rhodes definitely deserved to move ahead of Ward in the pecking order earlier in the season, no denying that. Tonight however, what you describe did not happen. It did not even come close to happening.
