I enjoyed 30 minutes of the first half and then the rest of the evening after the final whistle. Im not asking for more...well another goal at about 65 minutes would have been 'nice'..😉 Its tough clearing crosses and making tackles in your own front room..🤪 |

Said a couple of times on the commentary that there was around 500 away fans, bit on the high side i thought, anyone know the true figure.

As a London based Terrier I don't get to too many games, but it was great to see us pick up the three points. I don't disagree with much that's already been said, and I thought the 570 odd away fans really got behind the team, even after we went 1-0 down. And for all their 71% possession and 35 shots, I didn't actually think QPR created all that much. Nichols obviously made a couple of good saves, but I wouldn't say they created many more clear cut chances than we did. And we coped very well with anything that went into the box aerially. Obviously it was a makeshift team, and I don't think for a minute you could fault the effort of any of the players. But equally I don't think that means we can't improve, because we could have very easily lost that game on another day. While we looked dangerous on the break, our inability to keep possession up the field meant we faced not stop attacks for basically the whole of the second half. It felt a bit an FA Cup game where a League 2 team was away at a Championship club. If we're going to play as we did last night, I don't think Rhodes or Ward are the right fit up front. We really need either someone with blistering pace to stretch a defence, or a big hold up man who can bring midfield runners into play, and I'm not sure that's Rhodes or Ward's skillset really. Still three points is three points so can't complain too much.  |

Lost count how many times I made my wife jump by me shouting “CLEAR IT” Apparently at one stage I told her that Southgate should select Boyle for the World Cup. I realise now I was caught up in the moment! |
