I felt we were the better team overall &, for once, Southgate didn't cost us by being too defensive.
I'm proud that we took them on & I'd much rather lose going for it than how we played losing in the Euros final.
I thought before the game whoever won tonight would win it, though Argentina might have something to say about it.
Well done England, good effort.

Thought we started far too slowly again - like previous games - and gave the French the initiative. Then found ourselves trying to play catch-up.

Funny how pundits think that saying "with the greatest respect..." allows them to be disrespectful. Morocco wouldn't have been an "easy" game for England and it won't be for France either. There are no easy semi-finals.

Lloris has moved before Kane hit that second pen, not off his line but to his right. A bit more composure needed and Kane had an easy tap in to Lloris's left.

Lloris has moved before Kane hit that second pen, not off his line but to his right. A bit more composure needed and Kane had an easy tap in to Lloris's left. The big surprise was Lloris going to his left for the first one. Kane always wraps his foot around and puts it the other side. |

They scored goals in open play and didn't need to rely on penalties. Deserved to go through. England might of could have.... I count obvious penalties as good attacking moves, we had 3 tonight that were obvious pens and 3 or 4 good shots and a header. They scored after an obvious foul and off a shoulder, our keeper made one good save?? Im disappointed but overall I think we should be at least playing extra time now... And Im usually a bit pessimistic about England defeats. Nowithstanding it wasnt a classic in great football being played but they often arent.. |

We were all concerned about the defence and we saw why. Two balls in to the box second half and we were all over the place for both. Lucky Giroud didn't score the first one but he made sure second time
Messi would have been our undoing anyway

Don't think I have felt as gutted since '98.
We genuinely deserved to go through tonight. I am not a Southgate fan, but tonight he went with what we do well with instead of the 5 at the back. Feel for then all. Kane, bags that against any other keeper, psychology did him.
I can also guarantee he won't get online abuse like Saka, Rashford and Sancho for reasons we all know, wish is the sad world we live in today.
