Amazing performance. Totally dominated France so far. Strange tournament. I backed Argentina to win it, but had pretty much written that off after the opening game when they lost to Saudi Arabia. You should have listened to my post where I warned people laughing at Argentina that I wouldn't rule them out. They have previous form for reaching the final having lost their first game at the 90 World Cup. Argentina have been superb, making a very good French team look extremely average. The 2nd goal was brilliant. |

Glad the BBC have showed where the foul was. All the online photos focus on the contact after when he was going down. Very similar to Toffolo in the final. But Di Maria kicks Dembele not the other way around. Unbelievably soft compared to loads which have been waved away Dembele has got in the way of his leg when he's running. It's on the defender not to, particularly when he's running towards the player not alongside. Those clips from behind are always fouls when you run across someone. |

Watching a masterclass of football there... thinking and dreaming that it’s Huddersfield Town in these blue and white stripes... creaming myself - then boom - I come out of ma hazy comatosed hangover and realise it Argentina !
Not too bothered who wins - it’d be nice to see France do it with my niece being there - equally Argentina have a loose connection to Huddy Town with their strips...
Interesting second half ahead - France need to come out all attacking leaving potential gaps - if they get one....
Next goal critical for sure !

Soft as shit penalty, hardly surprising that VAR wasn’t overturning an Argentina penalty…
Can’t argue with the quality of the second goal though.
Hope France can get a goal back, but they look like we were yesterday, a team of strangers.

I’m all for the physical part of the game but at what point did it become ok for a defender to shove an attacker in the back and it not be a penalty. It’s happened a lot this World Cup.
