Thought he'd had a good game, should have been more cards, but he messed up there. Just seemed to blow up too early. Can guarantee if France were winning he'd have been rolling around for 5 mins rather than getting up though. |

For those thinking it’s the best tournament they’ve watched, I guarantee that the 2026 one will beat it. Then the 2030 one will be better than that one etc. etc.
There have been some good games, but when you go back in depth at previous tournaments there will have been some cracking games at those.
If you were able to watch them back now, with your memory cleared of everything you would probably say that this one was a bit homogenised, which is what FIFA want really.

I remember them all quite well since 1986. 1990 (England aside), 1994, 2006, 2010 and 2014 were quite boring. 98, 02 and 18 I enjoyed. There are good games at every World Cup but I personally have enjoyed this one more than most other’s tournaments. Im not saying it’s been the best, it’s been one of, but I’m saying I’ve enjoyed it more. |
