To be fair I was excited briefly to think that logic had prevailed and the transfer thread was here on the main board. Where it should have been anyway. 40k views and 260 posts. So hard to find. But, why not dream big? Why not, just for a moment, imagine this was on the main board and - just imagine......42k views and 300 posts....it could be a reality.....  |

Morgan Rogers gone to blackpool Good signing for them that considering he had alot of suitors. Josh bowler is also heading there aswell. We should be all over that 1 but we aren't. Matt Lowton is very good business for us tho Rogers was on a season long loan at Bournemouth last season, had only one start and didn't feature after 22nd January. Last thing we need is a Man City player not good enough to start in the Championship. * I realise you didn't suggest we sign him |

Matt Lowton is very good business for us tho Bowler has already played for Blackpool this season and Olympiacos so he can’t play for another club other than forest or Blackpool |

"admin set this post to ignore" Hopefully the new regime will be open to revisiting this. I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that the overwhelming majority of visitors to DATM are only coming for the football stuff. It would surely make sense to re-situate it all in one location, giving people the option of setting their bookmarks back to "Talk of the Town", while the hardcore membership can continue via "Recent Threads", unaffected. I understand the original rationale for siphoning the transfer-related content elsewhere, but I didn't believe it to be necessary back then, and even less so now. We have nowhere near the volume of transfer discussion of the sort of clubs whose message board structure it was supposed to emulate - it never really caused that much of a problem on TOTT, even at the peak of the window. A more valuable 'housekeeping' feature to plagiarise from other boards would be a concerted effort to establish a single dedicated thread for each player / staff member that people can easily find and refer / add to on an ongoing basis, rather than the fragmentation and clutter from new ones being started every few weeks. |

Great start with Lowton. Does this hint towards a back 5 of Lowton,lees,pearson,helik,ruffles?

Are we looking at a new left back or are we going to see a Turton / pearson switch to left back type thing.
I am asking this as MF has said when fit that Lees,turton and pearson are starters for him. Wihth this in mind, we have brought in Lowton, who you would asume is here to play also.

Hello. I don’t mean to sound like a prick, but I do have genuine questions: If three players are signed and sealed (‘done’) why can’t we announce? Surely outgoings would not matter in this instance, unless they’re not complete? If we’re waiting on outgoings then surely they’re not done and only in principle. If one of those is Knockaert, was it done before he played for Volos today, and will the injury affect this? Or is the withdrawal tactical? Either way, it’s doesn’t make much sense to me (not that it needs to, but any clarity you can offer would be great). Cheers. 2 are 100% complete, another is fully agreed but only announced when some sales / loans are sent back. Knockaert not one of the above 3 and although we have showed interest I don’t think it’s got too far. We are I think strangely looking at the players available rather than the position they play or where we are weakest. I wouldn’t be looking at a RB for example when we are crying out for a left back. For me we should be looking at in order LB (someone better) LW (someone fast) CM (experienced head) GK (nobody talked about this but if Nichols gets injured we are in trouble) AM to replace Tino Striker if ward or Rhodes leave. I thought the below would leave Mbete (back to city) trying to agree this Tino (back to Chelsea) trying to agree this KKK thought he was going back and still might do, I think we should now keep him however. Russell, just need someone to take him off us Brodie Spencer loan move Ward or Rhodes we want one of them out to make space for a new striker Mahoney, if anyone will take him Aarons, we might agree release Ah. I guess the other 100% is Kamberi then. |

Exactly. If Rudoni was left where he was and Camara came on, it may have been different. Besides, Hogg was ever present in the car crash of the early season, so I think his importance is slightly exaggerated. One thing we don't know,is how fit Camara was? He'd had some non-covid infection, presumably Flu type, and may not have been able to last the 60 minutes required. I would have made the Camara for Hogg substitution, but it could easily have backfired and we could have been overrun in midfield. It's easy to say MF got it wrong in hindsight, but we'll never know. Agree, I intentionally put 'may' 👍 |

Loan until season end and he can review his options, same as Lowton? Possible. |

You can only turn out for 2 different clubs in a season. |
