Would be good to get in front in The Head to Heads once again v Preston and build confidence for the utterly CRITICAL league matches in the rest of January...
I normally hope for a wee cup run for Town in The hope of a brand new opponent for the fans to see...
But given our very precarious position this season every last wee advantage is gonna be required for a helluva ugly dogfight and if that means going out and more energy and rest and less chance of injuries then this year I may for the first time in a long time just accept an exit on Saturday !

Hadn't his hamstring gone again just as he was getting over his last hamstring injury.

Hadn't his hamstring gone again just as he was getting over his last hamstring injury. Ah, that's a shame. This would have been an ideal game for him to return.

Not on iFollow or the FA player. It might be on some foreign channel though. If you're not going to watch, then listen to Radio Leeds and stick BBC Live match of the day on for the goals during their live game.

I'd be getting 90 mins in the new signings and resting any players who played 3 times last week! A cup run would merely be a unwelcome distraction to the Great Escape

Lee Nicholas not starting tomorrow will be bilokapic this is because he has had a shoulder scan and will be out for a few days.

I'd normally say we should be focusing on the league but a good cup run means we're winning games, and regardless of the competition that will grow the players' confidence. The last few results have put us much closer to safety and if the fitness of the squad is managed carefully then there's no reason why we can't do both.
0-3 defeat.

A chance to level up the head to heads v Preston this season.
I'd like to see Pearson get some game time. Give Diarra and Simpson a start & give Lowton & Kamberi some minutes.

Think it will go to the 5th meeting of the season. That would be a contender for lowest (football) crowd at the JSS surely.

With replays re-introduced for 3rd & 4th round ties this season then you can safely say this will be a draw, Sunday will then pair us both with a bumper home game for the victors & Town will then proceed to lose the replay at JS.........although PNE have only beat us once in FAC with a 120 minute pen in the final...UTT.

Since returning to the Championship in 2015, Preston North End have progressed to the FA Cup 4th round only once. So PNE fans won't be having any great expectations, either. However, I think deep down they'll know that they aren't promotion material this year, so all the more reason for them to give a cup run a go this time around. PNE 2-1 for me, unless they put in a load of reserves after all.

Additionally a long-ish Cup run would bring some much needed money in - not a lot perhaps but we do seem to be desperate.

I see both points of view but the league is the target and not bothered one bit tomorrow what ever happens and I suspect neither will town
