Tommy’s new job 😂😂
The most underrated comedy that’s ever been on telly. An absolute gem.

Up there with The Royle Family and Phoenix Nights for me.
Criminally underrated.

Not surprised we're in a comedy. We are a joke at the moment.

May have a Fray Bentos for tea, anyone got a tin opener?.☺ Cost of living, used to be able to get those for £1 in home bargains. Sadly, the days of a FB pie for £1 are long since gone. A bit like the £1 per litre of fuel and Town scoring 3 goals in the same match…

Best line this weekend was Joe asking Dean to treat Melanie right and said.
"Her last chap dropped her like a stone when something better came along, Shameless"

The mother makes me laugh with her inhaler whizzing and her praying
" Dear God, look after our Kenneth and please make sure I can go with him to Crete, I do like the weather there."

"Her last chap dropped her like a stone when something better came along, Shameless" Having never watched Shameless or knowing who the actor was, I didnt think anything of that line till someone explained it to me at work today.

Brilliant comedy. From the same stable as Royle Family but so much better.

Several Pubs and scenarios / characters in my youth and even today make this resonate with me and am sure many others.
Know somebody like every one of those regulars in ‘real life’ and sure that is why Early Doors is such a cult success with so many ordinary folk. A true Northern Classic.
Other than that I have completely no knowledge. 😉

Same cast and ingenious way of splitting the stage into the different rooms. All this talk has made me download the episodes again.

And reference the Pub Quiz Episode ended up on a team in My then local back in the noughties with the nearest ‘real character’ to Eddie who rather than going on about the roadworks / temporary lights at Birdhall Lane always (and still does when I see him) insists on telling me for several minutes about Town’s defensive formation and failings despite knowing full well I am a fully paid up life long patron of a Leeds United persuasion? ……..Like Eddie on Early Doors he’s a decent guy but a little eccentric with probable learning difficulties and genuinely doesn’t realise what he’s doing so I always humour him by listening. (Not listened to a word you said cock)😳
The Pub Quiz scenario explained, somehow got put on his team back then and a question came up about Sugar Diabetes …….he was so insistent that this was a Welsh Boxer not a medical condition I had to put it as an answer! 🫣🫣🫣………Pickles anybody? 😉

The race day episode is my favourite one. Big fry up with a pint of ale in the morning then back for a lock in later.
Police officers come in and take the piss out of Kens jumper - 'bit big for a jockey aren't you?' classic.

I really used to think that Early Doors was based on my local. Our landlord was called Ken and there was even a miserable old bugger in the corner called Tommy. One year my mate fell out with Tommy but on Christmas Day lunchtime he decided it was a good time to make peace. He held his hand out and said "Merry Christmas Tommy" Tommy replied with .............."I don't fucking shake hands with anyone" Happy days!!
