The wife’s a Bolton season ticket holder. As are the in-laws and sister in law. Was fun in the family group chat when that was announced.

Toughsheet? I had no idea that Izal had rebranded... There's an entire generation of folk who have no idea what it's like to wipe your arse with tracing paper.

Hell that was the ‘shit’ (pardon the pun) paper we had in that ‘dump’ (again pardon the pun) primary school that I went to from 1976 till 1982... Maybe I should sue Strathclyde Regional Council for the Crap they put us poor folks through back then !

Can't say I hate them but any chance to take the piss out of my mate the Bolton fan with the missing thumb, without actually mentioning his thumb, I'll take it.

We had it at Moldgreen Primary in 1974-76, Wooldale Juniors 1977-80 and I'm fairly sure we had it at Holmfirth High in the 80's and possibly Greenhead College too. Not to mention just about every pub toilet had it. Certainly The Nook did.

A Bangkok rinse left far too much moisture down there and no one wanted a paper cut from the grease-proof paper they used to supply in the bogs.

Newcastle fans quickly named Sunderland's new premises the Stadium of Shite and now there's two of them (three counting Elland Road).

The one bonus was that your fingers wouldn’t go through it - However the flip side of the coin was we used to have a disco at one of our village community halls every four months and while it was ‘proper’ bog roll it could easily go damp within these 4 months and if you had to go on the night, pissed, and didn’t take a big dollop of it your fingers would be trough it the day before tomorrow... Sticky fingers then and a similar word but with a h instead would quite easily be the outcome ! Let me just say - once bitten twice shy !!! 🚽 ☹️ 🧻

Newcastle fans quickly named Sunderland's new premises the Stadium of Shite and now there's two of them (three counting Elland Road). Given the accents up there, that was the most bizarrely named stadium I’d ever heard of… Up until now of course. As others have said, this will be by far the cheapest advertising fee that company will pay, considering the potential reach. I believe Bolton had stadium or team sponsorship by a company called Franking sense (yes, they’re a mailing company). I only really remember the name because we hired a villa in Florida from the owners.

is this some Paddy Power style *zaniness*? Not that I'm surprised after seeing another construction industry company called What's The Pointing on a sign earlier.

Going for a shit on a night out is up there alongside jamming a pork pie in a thermos flask as good ideas go.

I went to Moldgreen in the late 40s/early 50s." 2 of the teachers were right sadists,Raddish Radcliffe used to through his blackboard rubber {Wood base} at anybody not paying attention, and a bloke called Charlie Hawley once chucked a woodwork chisel at someone,it stuck in the back wall.Gordon Kaye {allo allo} was a pupil, he used to get beaten up every day.
