They are unlikely to ever fall foul of FFP, they've got more money and better lawyers than the EFL ๐

They are unlikely to ever fall foul of FFP, they've got more money and better lawyers than the EFL ๐ All that money doesn't stop them from being consistently shit every season though I BET there owners have a word with the EFL every season. The problem with Town is we are not "fashionable" or one of the so called bigger clubs wtihin the football league, or we don't seem to have owners who pay the EFL off. Therefore its much easier for the EFL to get "tough" with us. How Bournmouth for example prior to there prem stint, were within FFP or other clubs now who have been stated is madness. I think deals are done to push it under the carpet.

You have your blackpools , peterboroughs , Rotherdam and maybe Plymouth that are exceptions. Hence, why all 4 have spent plenty of time in Lg 1. I can even throw Wycombe into the list.

Cardiff look like theyโre saying Josh Bowler on loan, good signing for them. A club who were down there scrapping with us who have strengthened.

Theyโve strengthened a hell of a lot, especially in the attacking department. Everyone else moving forward it looks like. I think thatโs a massive downside of our lack of transfer activity so far. Mid/bottom third teams (thatโs very much where I place us) like Cardiff, Birmingham, Stoke, PNE, Bristol City all seem to have done good business. Whilst NW says he happy with the squad on the basis of what we did in last 15 games, reality is many of our rivals have improved (theoretically at least until any games have been played) and to this point we have stood still. Am still happy to take KN and NW at their words but am finding it hard to anticipate anything but a long, hard slog of a season without a clutch of new first-team signings. Injuries to Lees and Hogg, Nakayama not yet seemingly fully fit, Jones very delicate. Wonโt take many more to leave our first XI looking incredibly threadbare, and the bench even more so.

Despite his age, I think he would have been good here especially as I think we need reinforcements in midfield. He will be on high wages though.

Didn't realise that Reading had signed Charlie Savage.
He can play. Surprised he's dropped to league one, would have been happy with him here.

Didn't realise that Reading had signed Charlie Savage. He can play. Surprised he's dropped to league one, would have been happy with him here. I think itโs reflective of his progression. He may certainly have an ability, one which saw him debut in the CL, but does he have the consistency? If he was that good, and reliant spotters beloved so, heโd be in the champ. No doubt. Itโs not the same as a proven player, like McLean signing for Wrexham.
