Can’t see anything else where but what are we all thinking and when do town release this?

I'd like to see Koroma get re-signed. Apart from him I don't think any of the out of contract lot are worth signing back up. Want JoBo signed too. Is that Hungbo's name now? I saw someone else call him that on a different thread

Town have until Saturday 20th May to publish their retained list, so this Saturday by the latest.

It has to be out by this Saturday as per league regulations so we will know by the end of the week.
Not sure who is making decisions on offering players out of contract new deals or not though. Guess it would be helpful to have ownership deal sorted before then and a new manager announced as well but think that's asking a lot.

I believe they need to be released by the 3rd Saturday in May which is this Saturday.
Think Ward will get a 12 month extension, can see us triggering Ruffels extra 1 year like we've done with Camara, and then releasing the rest if it's true Koroma has already turned down a few offers from us...

The players concerned will have been told, one way or the other, before they went on their hols. I think the public were told May 31st last year, but that may have been because the season went on a bit longer.

The new manager may have already had a say in who he wants retaining and who he's prepared to let go, in advance of a squad rebuild. For me, try keep Koroma but don't break the bank for him. Possibly Ward on a reduced terms one year deal. The rest can go. Time to restart.

Will go with that. Yea we ended the season well but we need to release anybody that isn’t good enough for a challenge towards the top of the table.

Can't have Ward, Rhodes, Simpson & Harratt under contract when we're probably short of 2 goalscorers!

majority of the lads, or most we would want anyway, are still in contract I guess?......like you say, only really Koroma would be good to keep unless his agent is playing daft buggers

Quite widely publicised that they were interested in him. I think Ward wants to stay at Town from what he was saying to Oggy the other week, about how he's settled here with family etc. But at this stage of his career, if he gets offered a 2 or even 3 year deal somewhere else and only 1 year here, it makes sense for him to move.

To be fair Dan, Wardy has lived where he has now for quite a while even when he played for Rotherham and Cardiff. So i don't think he would move if he joined Bolton etc.

Would let them all go. New ownership, new era.
Pointless offering Ward 12 months. We have Rhodes for another year yet, and Simpson, Harratt and Hudlin.
We need to stop bulking the squad with average people and get people for the starting 11 now.
Presume Bromby and Baldwin will sort retainers out.

I’ve seen Hudlin play three times and said he’d be back in the NL a while ago, although maybe a L2 club could take a chance with him.

I would love to think this was going on behind the scenes but I have zero confidence that’s the case the way Town have worked the last 5 years. I have an awful feeling the takeover will take another week or two and Nagle’s hands will be tied until that is complete. We may be scrambling quite a bit this summer.

Still maintain that we heard Wimbledon wanted Hudlin so we signed him purely to sweeten the deal for Rudoni.
