Good I would really like to see more of him if he stays away from hares, we are well overdue a young, hungry striker The Foxes are sniffing round him... Hope we don't fall into the trap

Huddersfield Town's out of contract players this summer: Tomas Vaclik, Ryan Schofield, Romoney Crichlow, Charles Ondo, Josh Ruffels, Matty Daly, Rolando Aarons, Danny Grant, Josh Koroma, Florian Kamberi, Danny Ward Be interesting to see who (if any) get retained I'm surprised that nobody is saying they'd give Crichlow another year. Had a very good year at Bradford.

If the club are savvy, they’ll offer Critchlow a years deal, so at least if he does leave we are guaranteed a fee for him from another club. I think he’s got something about him and could carve out a decent career at League 1/2 level.

We would only be entitled to a fee if Critchlow signed any contract offer we made and then decided to leave, as he'll be 24 on the 3rd of June. I’d maybe give Ward 12 months IF Rhodes leaves but as 3rd choice striker
I’d try get Koroma for 2 years with an option for 3rd
Maybe Ruffels for 1 year as backup
Possibly Grant and Critchlow but loan them out.
Release the rest.
Try offload Rhodes, Thomas, maybe Nakayama.
Don’t offer Lowton anything. I still felt Knockaert could have offered something.
Try get loans for Simpson, Hudlin.

Ward and Ruffels may offer back up but at their respective ages they need to play. The rest arent what we need or good enough imho.

My memory may well have got it wrong, but whatever we paid, it seems far too much now. I have watched him a couple of time, but apart from been rather tall what is he good at ? can someone help me, i have not seen anything that made us even want to sign him . Are you thinking of the Rudoni figure with Hudlin on loan as part of it

I am just going off rumoured figures at the time, which was around the 800k figure. First time I have ever heard that figure. Was less than 100k. Maybe a typo and it was £80k?

Yet he's better than REG and REG's recent Championship games might even mean REG (who I think has 1 year left) would attract a fee. Would suspect that Crichlow however has already agreed a conditional deal with Bradford. Play every game in League 1 as a key player vs 10 or so Championship games filling in and always seen as a junior member of the squad = no brainer.

I’m happy to bow to your superior knowledge 🙇

Crichlow has never imposed himself above league 2. If he ever will, he needs regular game time in league 1 rather than sitting on our bench. He'd be our 7th choice centre back, and third choice left footer. Or maybe 8th and 4th if Ayina is ahead of him? He's among the most obvious releases for me, and I say that as a fan of his.

I’d maybe give Ward 12 months IF Rhodes leaves but as 3rd choice striker I’d try get Koroma for 2 years with an option for 3rd Maybe Ruffels for 1 year as backup Possibly Grant and Critchlow but loan them out. Release the rest. Try offload Rhodes, Thomas, maybe Nakayama. Don’t offer Lowton anything. I still felt Knockaert could have offered something. Try get loans for Simpson, Hudlin. Why try and offload Yuta ? He can play 2 positions and gives us a left sided CB rather than playing someone on their wrong side.

An International footballer who’s been judged on performances when the club was a shambles. I’d definitely keep him and agree, his versatility will be a massive asset to us.

I felt he looked out of position at left back - I’d rather see Headley get more time there. At centre back he seemed to be settling in more just before injury but he didn’t stand out as much as I had hoped/expected.
