My heart really wants Barnsley to win, I despise the Wendies, but I’m conflicted by the rumours about Michael Duff possibly becoming Town manager. I’m pretty certain I mentioned him a couple of years whilst he was at Cheltenham Town. I’m also conflicted about the pro’s and con’s of Neil Warnock potentially staying on. It’s going to be a funny watch this afternoon. What’s best for Town? If we were bound to appointing the manager of the losing team today, I'd be just as happy with either of them. If anything I'd prefer Moore. |

Why wasn't Smith booked for the arm in the CB's face? "Too early"  ?? I guess elbowing someone in the face in the tunnell or as they get off the coach wouldnt be seen as an offence at all?? Its part of the football 'nonsense' made up by ex players who are now expert pundits.. |

VAR says no penalty. What a surprise. And the commentator adds that if the ref had given a pen then VAR wouldn't have overturned it! Penalty then.

So being second to the ball and simply kicking the opponent is not a penalty, not even worth asking the ref to have another look??
Perhaps this is another var affected result..
Red card for the same offence, kicking an opponent whilst totally missing the ball.??

That's an absolutely scandalous decision. No intent to hurt the opponent (who got straight up), clearly going for the ball. Just slightly mis-timed. I'd be fuming if I was a Barnsley fan.

Barnsley have beaten Wendies comfortably twice this season in the league meetings, 2-0 away & 4-2 recently at Oakwell, bookies are offering over 2/1 for a Tykes 90 minute victory today.......I say lump on it big. To an outsider that seems logical. If you were a Barnsley fan, knowing you'd beat them easily twice in the league could only mean that you were certain to lose this time. Us V Mansfield springs to mind. They battered us 3-0 or summat didn't they in the home league fixture which was only a month or so before the play off final. |
