Not all meets the eye with clements. as I have said previously he did the dirty on nick colgan to get the job in the first place. Him and bromby are as thick as thieves.
I expect clements to rock up at Norwich in the future. He has plenty of his pals down there
No doubt I will get pelters for it but it's the truth.
I think it's a great move by the club to clear the decks

Strategic wise we are clearly in essence going to be a brand new club starting life in the Championship. Which is ok with me but does suggest keeping NW in charge in the short term would be sensible.

Think it was time for Bromby - it's not all been bad but the last two managers he chose were a disaster. I believe Clements was instrumental in bringing Nicholls into the club. That is massive as he's the best keeper we've had for several years and more. So thank him for that. I hope it doesn't increase the chances of Nicholls leaving. As solid foundations go for a first 11 there's no better place to start than having a good goalkeeper.

I think it's a great move by the club to clear the decks Il never forget seeing him at the service station on the way home from Wembley, all he wanted to do was talk about himself and how good Schofield was (think England Under 17s had won that day), admittedly seems he's well respected as a keeping coach but my god was he wrong on Schofield.

Its also strange how they have announced this, same tweet and page but nothing about Clements on the link when you open it? Wonder if he's been poached and the club are fuming?

On Bromby I said months ago he was gone, was basically placed on gardening leave (he did some work with youth teams) after MF was sacked, DH refused to pay him off however.
On clem he has another job offer and with NW bringing Kevin Blackwell back we have cover in GK coach and KB wants to bring his own coach in to work with the keepers.
We needed to announce this now so when we announce management team later it all makes sense.

From the outside looking in it does seem a shame to lose Clements as he seems well respected at the club.

Clements I've never known what to think about him as a coach. We've had 2 great keepers in Lossl and Nicholls, and 3 pretty bad ones in Grabara, Pereira and Schofield. It's hard to know if he's improves any of them or that's just how they were when they arrived.

Three months or so ago I saw Doncaster Rovers play at Sutton. Ian Bennett is the goalkeeper coach at Donny and was on their bench that day. He was fairly active, passing on instructions to their goalie. He looks just the same as he did at Town, just a little greyer. Always rated him as a player.

I genuinely consider him one of the best keepers I've seen at Town. I felt he was better than Alex Smithies for much of his spell at the club.
