Theres enough bollocks on the main board as it is. It is a small step to access the Transfer Rumours board, but for some youd think it was a giant leap for mankind.

Do not see why people get critical about a role they more than likely wouldn't give up their time to do. personally, if I want to look for transfer related things, I can find it all in one place without it getting mixed up in the middle of a lot of threads on the main board. |

I wasn’t being critical. It is an opinion. Happy to be a Admin - a few might be blocked though …….. Never understand on here why some have to make it an argument. Surely the whole point of a forum is that it is about opinions. Obviously those opinions will differ otherwise there would be point to a forum at all. |

That’s there as a short-term, one-off in-joke. It’ll be gone by the start of the season as stated on the board. I wouldn’t take it as a yard stick to measure other potentially stickied boards. |

Re-integrating the Transfer board into TOTT would barely cause a ripple: Only six threads would make it on to page #1 (the threads they would be pushing off being around one week inactive).
Those who like to use DATM for daily discussion for the full spectrum of HTAFC, politics, culture etc on a daily basis would be unaffected via their "Recent Threads" view.
Those who use DATM primarily as a means of keeping on top of HTAFC developments would be able to do so more efficiently without having to make a choice between switching between boards or sifting through the (majority) off topic content on "Recent Threads".
If you look at the viewing statistics on the "Home" page, the proportion of people looking at HTAFC content (ie TOTT, TOTT Archive & Transfer Rumours) consistently sits at around 95%. Despite what the "Recent Threads" view might suggest, it's the football threads that people are coming here for...

There's so much crap on the main board, as others have said.
It's tedious enough having to wade through all the pettiness and silly arguments as it is.

It's a good idea in theory to have the transfer board, but it's not really worked.
It was meant as a way to sort out there being one big transfer thread on the main board, that would get checked a few times a day in hope of news but was always full of rubbish. The idea was to have a whole board with separate threads for different players, discussions etc.
But all it's done is move the big thread onto another board, so it's got the exact same problem, but with extra clicks in order to get there!

The problem with it being on here is that you'll get folk creating a new thread for every baseless rumour started by some no mark on Twitter with 3 followers. The Juan Mata thread being an example.
If all the rumours are posted on one thread, then have it on here, otherwise leave it where it is.

At first I put yes, as it seems logical.
But then I thought about it for a bit and realised I'm not bothered since I started using Recent as a starting point.
Someone said on a different thread that you also see threads you're not bothered about.
I just don't click on them, eg the Golf thread was at the top the other day, but it's never been opened by me.
