England immediately pushing for equaliser but Colombia will defend deep now. Reset at half time to sort midfield out a bit.

Now that's what you call a keeper error. England equalise so game on second half.

Cross gone in, total shitshow for an equaliser. Nothing lost so far.. Columbia have decent and quick forwards and a dominant centre half for crosses coming in, the rest are not as good as us. Tempo needs upping for periods and opportunities will come. The idea Mary should have been better positioned is bollocks, its a cross that should have been blocked, its just one of those freak crosses that has the exact height and dip to drop in. Shit, it happens from corners are we saying the keeper should stay right on the back post, just in case? Full size goals and a shorter keeper, its gonna happen more often.

Two bits of comedic goalkeeping, one at each end of the pitch. Was it comedic keeping when Seaman let Ronaldinhos mishit free kick in ?

The lesser sides in the World Cup have consistently surprised the big guns. England haven't come a cropper yet but plenty of others have. The days of a small number of sides dominating is, hopefully, over. The decision to go to a 32-team World Cup has paid dividends for developing football nations who have really given the tournament something new.
Four years ago the Columbias and Nigerias of the women's football world roll over against the Germanies and Englands. Not any more - and Germany and England haven't been ready for that. Can only be good for the game.

Am I being stupid or did that Columbia goal take a deflection?
Commentator and Emma Hayes questioning whether the player meant it and saying it was outstanding. She was clearly trying to cross it and it deflected in

She was clearly trying to cross it and it deflected in I don't think it took a deflection myself, but harsh to criticise the keeper too much. She was set for the cross - which it was - and it was a mis-hit. And as I type Russo finishes superbly. She's not been great this tournament for me, but she's done her job today.

From one angle it looks like a deflection but from another it definitely didn't

Don't mean to be a knob, but:
Columbia - a city in the state of South Carolina
Colombia - a country in South America, currently playing England in the Women's World Cup.

I was only able to watch the first half(now listening to radio). Was with a couple of Venezuelans. They're fully behind England. Was the US ref taking a brown envelope, allowing?

A third for England if we can get it should be game over. Ruso hadn't shown what she can really do too much up to today but she has done her job in this one.

Two bits of comedic goalkeeping, one at each end of the pitch. Was it comedic keeping when Seaman let Ronaldinhos mishit free kick in ? Its the perfectly hit cross that goes in after it becomes its own attempt on goal? We have 2 or 3 still taking an extra touch and losing it, or overplaying for no reason at all. We will do what England do in these situations and 'shrink'?
