No animosity from me. Better than he was given credit for, unfairly judged because he was judged as though that performance in Beeston was the norm.
I don't want him back here. Frankly I think he was playing 2 divisions too high last season. But I hope he gets another club and has a good career.

The fault lays at the door of whoever judged he was a competent player at Championship level, not Edwards. Wish him all the best for the future.

I won't sugarcoat things . The lad had limited ability but didn't help himself with his condition. Good luck to him though

In fairness, (and I know it's a different level) but when we played Man U in the Prem I thought Luke Shaw was ridiculous. Looked very unfit, and was piss poor. A change of manager and got himself in shape and he was the best left back at the last euros.
Players are human, sometimes shit happens and they slump. He's 25 - if he gets the right club/manager behind him he can reboot. Clearly has ability just didn't show it here, probably couldn't.

I can see Tom being signed by Town this summer. In the view of Beswick Sports this is the ideal opportunity to sign “prev championship and European football experience”.
Hopefully we can get Jay onboard too.

I agree he’s obviously got some talent, he played the full 90min for Stoke as an 18 year old in the Prem against Town, crazily.

Still can’t get his antics after the final whistle at sky sports city out my head embarrassing after we’d been battered.

Still can’t get his antics after the final whistle at sky sports city out my head embarrassing after we’d been battered. What antics? Are you referring to him "sprinting onto the pitch to mob foden"? Or words to that effect. Pretty sure the video of it proves that was rubbish and taken way out of proportion.

Great stuff.
Beswick Terriers AFC ..here we go
Let’s not hide from it. Embrace it. Have to applaud Cartwrights an ability to milk a US owners wallet dry loading up Beswick players into the squad and drawing up the commission for the pension pot.
As the golden saying goes ..Self before Service 👍

I do hope he gets another club, but I'd enjoy the absolute meltdown on here by some if he ends up back here

Clearly a trier, and I have plenty of time for people who try. The one sin is giving up, and he didn't. He weathered a storm and played a part in the back end of the season. I hope he gets fixed up with a good club where he can nail down a first-team place. Some of the abuse he's had to weather from so-called fans has been disgraceful. There's fair comment on performances, which weren't good enough for the Championship. But he's had to put up with so much stick and personal abuse on here and elsewhere on social media. Footballers need to be thick-skinned because they will get stick, but it went far too far with him.

If we sign Edwards it will signal our true ambitions for next season. If we are serious about getting back to the Champoonship at the first attempt we surely have to be signing players of a better calibre than Edwards?

I'm still surprised we didn't extend his contract. Jokes aside, he was always going to be first out the door (as well as first to the chocolate biscuits)
I would pay good money to be a fly on the wall when somebody said he was a good idea 🤣
