Quote from an ex town player I spoke to a few weeks ago, rudoni used to sit in the dressing room on his phone talking about birds during team talks before the game! The Bill Oddie of the changing rooms!!

He'll probably kick on at Coventry but it's the right time for him to move on.
Showed glimpses of his ability but not consistently enough.
Coventry look like they'll be in the top six next season and they're on the up as a club anyway; there's a fair chance we'll recoup the full transfer fee from them.

"Showtime Brother" according to Kasumu A shame it wasn't showtime last season. Perhaps it's my age but what does that actually mean?

Good luck to the lad, he's been slightly mismanaged, having being asked to play in every midfield role going in a struggling championship side. Loads of potential. Yes his end product needs improving. Mark Robins can spot a player.

Concerning that Cartwright and duff both saying its a chance for someone to step up. Whilst it would be nice to see Iorpenda step up, he will need an experienced back up for times when his form drops off a cliff. If we have another summer like last year of cutting, we will be no-where near promotion hopefuls... more like also rans. Last thing we need is panic January buys again. Thought that myself and hoping there’s not much in it. I hope it doesn’t mean we are expected to go into the season with Hogg Kasamu Ben wiles and the other young lads. Need two new cm’s in my opinion as don’t think any of the three would be good enough to cover a full season. Kasamu can’t pass, Hogg will pick up injuries and struggles to pass forwards, and ben wiles runs like he smokes 20 a day.

Financially an astute signing making a tidy profit. Unfortunately though for me he’s contributed to a relegation , he has potential and that’s why it’s been a financial success just didn’t do enough for me and had no end product . Good luck at Coventry but not bothered in the slightest to be seeing him go for me hopefully along with ST.

I think as Town fans, the very least we ask for is effort and Jack Rudoni was never short of putting a shift in. His ability lacked in composure and decision making at times, but I think he will come good and be a decent enough signing for Cov. Hope he flourishes under Mark Robins, it'll be good for him to be at a club with some stability.

Midfield has needed attention for about 5 years now. Share your sentiments, a replacement for Rudoni alone isn't going to be enough, we need at least two. It was a little baffling resigning hogg... no time for sentiment if you want to be successful.. OK he offers experience, but never got the experienced cheerleader thing. It's just something touted by old pros to get them an extra year. We need a complete overhaul in all forward areas, Midfield and a general overhaul of the defence. Saying its a chance for players to step up is horse shit... you might get one that surprises you after 6 weeks in Spain... they aren't going to turn into Messi having sat on the barcelona beach and having a tour of the nou camp.

He'll do better with more Championship-standard teammates IMO. He's still young, he's been a young player trying to establish himself at a higher level, amongst sub-par players and numerous managers (also usually sub-par).

Talk of young players "stepping up" Does that mean our team building stops now?

Its funny, but he's just a YEAR younger than Kasumu, or two years younger than Sorba/Burgzorg...neither being players who are ever gifted the "still young" / "time to develop" get out clause when they dont deliver!

Rudoni joined Town a month after turning 21. That is a young midfielder, Burgzorg and Thomas are 26 in November and January respectively (so Burgzorg was 25 for the vast majority of the time he was at Town). Additionally, Burgzorg has been playing in the top 2 divisions since 2018. Rudoni hadn't even made his pro debut at any level then. Kasumu is 25 soon, Rudoni has only just turned 23 so it's closer to 2 years than one. I think the fact that Kasumu made his debut in 2016 and had scored his first pro goal in the same year Rudoni made his pro debut suggests that Rudoni is a young midfielder. In terms of career as much as age in years and months. All data taken from wikipedia so is potentially bollocks!!

If rusty Rudoni is worth 5 mill football is dafter than I thought, obviously money means nothing anymore, I will be listing my Nintendo Wii on eBay for 15 grand. Let's hope the Cov chairman is after 1😃😃

I think it just shows Kasumu is pleased for his teammate and friend. I really hope the toxicity which seems to have grown in the team and the supporters can be sorted now. Last season was truly awful in almost every sense for the players and us. Let's hope this marks a turning point for us all. I wish Jack Rudoni all the best and hope his career takes off properly now.

Alan Nixon says it is SIX million paid and with extras could be up to TEN million As much as I want to believe this, I have a nagging feeling that Nixon is embellishing the hell out of the figures involved to try and get somewhere within the same stratosphere as the ridiculous £10m he was coming out with at the beginning of the month.
