Thought Lewis Dunk played very well. Proper centre half. Maybe not as good moving the ball forward but a really good defender. It went a bit wobbly when Maguire came on but, tin hat on here, he is good at getting us up the field when he pushes through the middle. You do wonder if he is the best we have to start in that position though.

Harry Kane. He's the man. Is all. Might win something with his club now, too

Graeme Souness has always impressed me as a player and as a pundit, and I agree with him that Jude Bellingham is the “real deal”. JB will be the best player in the world very soon the way he’s progressing in his career.

I think Colwill is the future but Dunk was solid as a rock tonight.

Southgate says Foden can't play central because he doesn't for his team, yet we have Trippier at left back and Kalvin Phillips on the pitch. Baffling.

Thought Phillips played like someone who hasnt been playing. Caught in possession a few times and loose with his passing. Southgate said before KO that he was playing because he needs games...well yes he does, but surely thats not what the England team is for..to give players gametime.. It should be a given that theyre getting that already at their club! But a good solid performance from England and there was a gulf between the two sides in terms of quality throughout.....should have given them a real shoeing really,,,3-1 didnt really do the game justice......but we still 'sent them home to think again', as the song goes.

My winner of the "sad twat of the day" award goes to Bev from Fort Augustus. When Scotland scored she jumped in the air, made an extremely offensive gesture and yelled "up my f@cking c##t you English bastards!"
Pure class.....

I think the Scots were massively over confident before kickoff. It didn't take long before they realised England were far the better team though. Said to a mate the fans would be loud at the start but the stadium would be emptying before the full-time whistle, which is exactly what happened.
Their national anthem was brilliant but the highlight of the night for the Scots was trolling Maguire then watching him putting through his own net, that was funny!
Bellingham was a joy to watch, what a player that lad is, excellent! 👏

No patriotism from him, great pundit, sadly missing from Sky matches nowadays.

Really is about time we changed to an English anthem in the same way fans now take the England flag rather than the union flag like they used to.

I love Westie's name for us, mostly because it reminds me of my youth when I did work experience in the army stores with a couple of Jocks (Rab and Des): everything ended in "y". And also my Glaswegian mate Yousef called us Huddy a few times when he lived down here. I know a few people on here don't like Huddy Town being used but I'm not one of them.

Good ole Harry Mugwire ,he never lets you down.. Did I miss something with Maguire, why does everyone either hate him or take the piss out of him? And don't say it's because he's shite because he clearly isn't. Is it just entitled Man United fans thinking it's because he's not good enough for them? If it is there's plenty more they could pick on as well.

"Huddy Town" - so Westie. "Famous" Army Stores, or an actual Army Surplus place?! Don't really know why, but used to spend a LOT of time in Famous Army Stores as a kid - buying, erm, knives, and erm, camo gear etc! ("army jumpers" were HUGE in the 70's/80's for kids who spent their time "playing in the woods"!!). Remember telling my kids I used to buy hunting knives for cutting branches etc, & dig holes to create dens underground, and spend the evenings lighting fires, they looked at me like I was some kind of mental case. EVERYONE did that!!! Didn't realise Famous Army Stores became Blacks/Millets, which seem a very different type of place.

Work experience through school, worked with what my dad called "blanket stackers" (Logistics Corps) sorting/distributing weapons, uniforms and the like. Learnt to strip an SLR and put back together, "tested" (meaning had an afternoon of fun) signal webbing that beeps if you get "shot", learnt how to pack and unpack a Bergen properly, all sorts of other stuff. If we were playing war in the woods and on building sites we just used to borrow our dad's kit. Didn't have access to their guns though unfortunately Edit: Ref kids not believing what WE did as kids, the one and only time I've felt like a superhero was when I made a fire using flint and a bit of metal, set the kindling alight and built it up. My stepson was impressed AND surprised

Bellingham was a joy to watch, what a player that lad is, excellent! 👏 I think someone put a post up with a link to The Scottish Daily Record where their football ‘journalists’ ( I know, I know) out the six half wits not one took England to win (Even I was honest enough to predict 2-1 to England)... It was amusing to see that this comic of a rag is still on the go all the same. You wouldn’t insult a pile of spew on the local ferry by covering it with that junk newspaper - They just pander to their lowest common denominator readership which is dwindling as they rapidly head towards a fatal fall off a cliff (730,000 / day ten years ago to 58,000 / day at the last audit)... Gutter level journalism indeed - Give me unpalatable truths over comforting lies any day of the week !
