To be fair I only watched the 1st ever Scooby-Doo and it was the janitor that did it. Watched one episode of HKF and just thought it was a shit cover. He'd have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for those pesky kids. Thread is getting scrappy. |

Club must have really tightened the ship with the leaks of information. Nobody stuck their neck out and given a name out yet, other than a few doing a bit of posturing pretending they know something by ruling people out, Maynard’s silence says it all. Has me thinking the name will be quite left field

I'm not against him but folk are saying what a great appointment he'd be even though he's virtually no experience as a manager of open age teams There's 2 sides to this appointment isn't there. We need someone who can get results in the here and now and I agree that he might not have the CV to guarantee that but then apart from Warnock, who does? The other side is the long term project of the club and building a strong youth development system to take us to the next level. He's ideal for that. Can't be many better candidates for that role really. Especially this. The only way to be sustainable is to develop youth good enough. It keeps costs down. Keeps wages down and potentially creates sell on. However as we well know it's got to be done extremely well and it's got to be supplemented with high quality experience. It fits with everything that is being done. So I think it's probably accurate. The most pleasing aspect is that it's a clear and obvious build that fits in with everything else we have been doing and people we have been appointing. People who also already have good working relationships from the highest levels of academy, FA and development. |

He's not particularly media-savvy for a youngish man. Remember those photos of him p***ed up at a random house party a few years ago? Still a no from me. I have no view either way about Rooney becoming our manager. I do have an an issue with people confusing uneducated with unintelligent. Point taken- problem is, scum of the earth journalists know that WR is an easy target, and he's shown himself to not be the wisest decision maker at times. I fear that him as manager would turn the club into a media circus. We can argue til the cows come home whether that's a lack of education or a lack of intelligence, but the end result is the same. He also won't be cheap for someone with relatively limited experience managing at this level. |

I think anyone who watched his team that just won the euros would be excited if he got us playing anywhere near that style of football. However he was picking from the cream of the crop and the question would be would it translate to a low budget championship squad probably not. Bit of a coup if they get him though he is heavily sought after and I think they want him as the next seniors manager |
