Cartwright jumping into answer when did this process start to stop Moore having to answer, basically soon as Nagle slagged off the team on Twitter and Warnock defended his players, just say it Mark stop trying to avoid the question. No way was he going to be allowed to answer that.. jumped straight in and avoided answering the question. |

You'd think they would have been intelligent enough to prepare a better answer for that, it was obviously coming. |

It was fairly obvious that Warnock had little or no respect for him, comes across as a bit of a chancer for me, the proof however will be in who we sign moving forward. Chadders did warn us. |

However some very telling bits re the warnock situation.
Not sure there's gonna be much money in Jan from the answers given.
But its a new start onwards and hopefully upwards

The fat one comes across a bit brash/rude, the bald one a bit smarmy. Having said that the suits don’t need to be likeable just good at their jobs.
I like Darren Moore, i always have. Hopefully he’s nice and good at his job.

Cartwright said we have an attacking squad , needed someone who could work with such . Does any one actually think we have an attacking squad . DM comes across well, I don't know what they expect him to say to some silly questions , he's not even taken a session yet .

This is the first time the standard 'when did you first hear' question would be interesting I doubt we'll get a genuine reply to that, he will have been told what to say. As previous have mentioned the switch is done now regardless of how some of us feel about the method. I'd like to know what style of play he wants us to move forward with, does he plan on adding to the squad in January (will you have any money to spend Darren), is your plan survival this season or chancing your arm at the play offs? I don't think we have a chance at top 6 just be interested to know his genuine belief. |

I think he answered that...he's set no limits,no targets, for this season 'we will finish where we deserve to finish'. He will assess what he has before he thinks about additions... |

From the press conference...... I get that they need more analytical people to run recruitment than Edwards and Cartwright..... Not sure if this is the case and they have that structure beneath them, but you need aeronautical engineers, or maths wizz kids. Moneyball needs analytical minds... I didnt see anything on that table that suggests they can currently pull it off and a generic stats program isnt going to do that either.
To be fair to Moore, hes no warnock, but said the right things without really saying anything.

Bit difficult for someone doing press conferences after Warnock. He's 74 and knows he can say what he likes, have a laugh and he won't care how it's dissected.
Press conferences are rarely insightful anyway, that's why Warnocks not giving a feck ones were more entertaining. Dave Bassett used to have a bit of character as well.

Yes you can see how he has had success in a corporate environment, smooth and professional is the nice way to put it, I can think of some less kind words to describe it but I think its already been said above I think everyone clocked Cartwright very obviously jumping in to stop Darren putting the cat amongst the pigeons re the timing, probably had the exact opposite effect to what he wanted, if there are still any deluded fools on here who think this was always part of the plan and have watched the press conference then I fear for them in life, I really do! Another highlight was Cartwright having to ask Edwards if there would be a budget available in January! Oh and the attacking squad we have (with 1 striker, 2 first team wingers and 1 CAM)! Darren came across as expected, seems a lovely fella, I'm sure the players will like and respect him which is a decent start. The king is dead, long live the king. |
